The Bluetooth adaptor works as any bluetooth device should. The wireless technology is designed to provide a wire-free network connectivity method which conforms to the Class 1 Bluetooth specification. You can use any 3rd party Bluetooth device to accomplish the same network connectivity. The file transfer limitations of pics or music is a function of the software used to download these file types to the Bluetooth device; e.g. mobile phone.
NO VISTA SUPPORT August 5, 2007 K. Turner (Midwest) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful

Not for Verizon phones! April 22, 2006 S. Passantino 9 out of 44 found this review helpful
I'm sure this is a fine product and it certainly has potential with other cell carriers but with Verizon's mandate to Motorola, it does not allow you to use this as a file transfer device. It can be used modem or to transfer your phonebook but that's it. For Pictures and Music you'll have to use Get It Now and other services that aren't free.
Worked As Advertised March 21, 2007 Mark A. Neff (USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I am not sure what I am comparing this product to, since it is my first experience with Bluetooth technology. The product was easy to install, and worked as advertised. I was quickly able to connect my phone and headphones to my computer. What I didn't anticipate was the relative slowness of Bluetooth compared to my wireless G network. This is not the connection that you would want to use to download music or any other large files of data to your phone. I gave up on trying to download a song to my phone after several minutes. It is much faster to use the USB interface. However, Bluetooth is a convenient way to synchronize your phone's calendar, or download a 20 second ring tone. Bottom line, the product does what it is supposed to do.
Great! August 27, 2006 WhereIsRealMusic? (Detroit, Michigan USA) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
For the record, I have a Moto Q which is a Verizon phone and I can do OBEX file transfers and all sorts of things withthe Pc adapter of course you may need a separate plan to actually access the network using this equip to access the internet but it works very well to send music files and pix and all sorts of things!
