 Looks good and Charges the Phone.... But No Sync! June 2, 2008

I am sad to say this product only does half of what I was told it would do. Unless mine is just messed up, it charges with a USB cable to your computer but does not sync. Also is also another minor problem...there are no 2 color LEDs to show charging or fully charged. The front LED is white and stays that way as long as it is plugged in no matter if the phone is in the cradle or out of the cradle, as well as if it is charging or fully charged. (I thought that this might be because I was charging using the USB cable so I tried the plug and still white). Overall it looks good but the 3 stars are because it doesn't sync which even on the BB site it says it will do.

Its funny how the one reason I purchased this dock was defeated by the one flaw that drives me crazy about it! Lets get one thing straight, it does its job very well BUT! The unit has two very bright lights that never, ever, ever turn off so if you dont want the light you have to unplug the dock.... Isn't that why I got a dock, so I wouldn't need to unplug the phone all the time?
They were very smart in making it a very loose fitting dock so you can put it in and take it out with no problems. I would say if you are going to put the charge pod somewhere you wont see it all the time like a bookcase or by the door your fine, but if its next to your bed or tv or something you'll go crazy!

Great charger for my 8330. Be aware that it is a charger only that requires a blackberry (or other) mini-USB charger.

I moved to a BB from a Palm handheld (I think I bought the last one they ever made) and was looking for something to charge and synch my BB without having to run multiple cables across my desk. Well, this charges with a dedicated USB cable, but if I want to synch I need yet another USB cable running to the side port. If all you want is a charging station this may be your bit, otherwise, save your money.
