If you order this adapter from CCMACCESSORIES, you can get it for only $0.01, so you'll basically only pay for shipping. Even though it's made by Motorola, it works perfectly for any cell phone with the 2.5mm stereo audio jack (3 rings on the plug). If your cell phone doesn't have stereo audio, then you need to get one of the 2-ring adapters. Otherwise, this works great! I use it to plug a standard (3.5mm) pair of headphones into my LG Chocolate VX8550. When listening to MP3s, I get clear stereo audio with this adapter.

This converter works as it says. I am using the LG enV VX9900 btw.
It makes a 3.5mm headphone, which are usually used for your stereo or your computer, fit into the small 2.5mm headphone jack for your cellphone.
I only know of cellphones that have 2.5mmm, but I guess you could use it on another 2.5mm systems too.
The 2.5mm end on this adapter, which goes into your cellphone has 3 rings, which i needed for my cellphone. If u only have 2 rings I heard that it will not stick in there and will be kinda loose. For my cellphone these 3 rings provide a very solid fit so that it doesn't come out on its own. It only comes out if u pull it.
I just received this adapter today and tested it and it works great. Now I don't need to buy those extra more expensive headphones for my cellphone I am just using my regular 3.5mm headphones, which you probably already have in your house.
In fact the coolest thing is YOU CAN PLUG YOUR SPEAKERS INTO YOUR CELLPHONE. I just tried it out and OMG this is crazy the quality is so good and the volume is perfect. I guess it would come in very handy at a party you can just plug your cellphone to the speakers haha and have your songs ready.

No big deal - just allows regular mini plug headphones to be used with many cell phones, including the LG EnV.

This was very inexpensive, but considering that it did not work, it was a bust. I wanted to use it to pipe audio from my Treo to my car, using a 3.5 mm male to 3.5 mm male extension and the car's 3.5 mm female input jack, which works great when I attach it to my iPod. This adapter did not work to connect the Treo. Disappointing, to say the least, but I did not have a lot of skin in it, so it was not a big deal.
