Not for Colicky babies October 10, 2007 Chrissy Snow (New Jersey) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought these glass bottles after reading all the articles about bispenol A. My daughter was used to the Dr. Brown's bottles and could not get used to this classic bottle. She got so much air when she sucked on the bottle, we could not use it.
durable bottles, get better nipples to replace the latex ones October 30, 2007 ld (san francisco, ca) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We switched from Dr Brown's Natural Flow bottles because of BPA in polycarbonate bottles. The bottles are really durable -- I dropped them several times on the granite kitchen floor and, each time, they just bounce right up, with no damage whatsoever. The latex nipples that comes with the bottles are way too hard. We replaced them with Gerber (NUK) Silicone Orthodontic Nipples.
great bottles November 19, 2007 jess (maryland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
i recently bought these for my 17 month old and baby on the way. i got them because of all the concerns with plastics these days. i have used many bottles including evenflo comfi, dr. browns, playtex drop-ins, nuby non-drip, avent, and soothie. these are by far the best and i can't believe i'm saying that because i used to be all about finding that perfect bottle to avoid gas and spitting up. yes, my daughter is no longer an infant, but these bottles work just fine with no annoying extra parts to wash or liners to buy. heres what i especially love: 1) no plastic concerns (BPA, phthalates) 2) easy to clean and i feel i get them VERY clean (some plastic bottles feel like they have a residue in them after washing) 3) will accept any standard nipple to customize to your needs( i use nuby non-drip silicone nipples- great for when baby can hold own bottle- when they put it down/drop it/throw it, it will not drip and they are very inexpensive) 4) sturdy glass doesn't break or chip as easily as one might think- my husband dropped one of ours into the street off the top of our car by mistake, no chips or cracks at all i am very pleased with these bottles- i just wish they had silicone nipples instead, but at least they'll accept nipples meant for other bottles so you can get the right nipple for your baby.
Great bottles that really don't have plastic April 6, 2008 Candy L. Lawson (Dublin, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have now used these bottles with 2 children (the first time 17 years ago and am using them again with my 5 month old) and they work wonderfully. I recently decided to buy the Dr. Brown's because I had heard that the venting system was great. What I found, however, is that Dr. Brown's glass bottles use a plastic straw made from potentially hazardous materials so we returned those right away. Evenflo glass bottles are easy to clean with no small peices that require special cleaning tools. They also don't get scratched up like plastic. They are sturdy (we dropped one and it rolled under the car without breaking.) I do not use the standard nipples because I have always preferred Gerber Nuk but the batch of these I ordered did come with silicone nipples.
A great product January 15, 2007 L.M.B. (Philadelphia, PA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love the glass bottles,I now have peace of mind! During the late night feedings my husband and I just place the glass bottles in the bottle warmer without fear of chemical contamination. The only down side is that the glass bottles are heavier than the plastic;however, with time your baby will learn how to hold them!!
