I have three kids and didn't have the bundle me with the first two. I thought "do I really want to spend $40 on this thing - I didn't need it with my first two!" It was well worth the money.
Anyone with more then one kid knows the second or third baby just has to go with the flow. At a moments notice you can be running out the door for a number of things. With Bundle Me you don't need a bunting outfit,a coat, a hat, or even a blanket for your baby. Just buckle your baby in - zip and go. - If the wind is blowing, raining, snowing or just too sunny - you can just pull up the flap and hold it with the handle of the car seat. Instant cover from the elements. this is a feature you don't get with the covers that wrap around the outside with a hole for the baby's face. During the in between seasons the cover zips off completly. I didn't find it too bulky or a saftey issue. You adjust the straps of your infant carrier to fit. It washes great too. I loved this item.

I was delighted to receive the bundle me for a baby gift but was quickly disappointed when I realized the car seat straps thread through the "fleece." This can potentially cause problems with getting a snug fit and can increase compressibility in an accident. There should be nothing between your baby and the car seat except for a layer of clothing. I liked the idea of having a built in blanket but did not want to compromise the safety of my child.
After examining the Bundle Me I decided to "cut out" the back panel where the straps thread through. This allowed me to place the cover in the seat without worrying about having to thread the straps through the thick fleece Now, my baby is positioned directly on the carseat but is surrounded by the Bundle Me. It truly is a perfect fit, the straps are not hindered by the bulky fleece and I am no longer concerned about compressiblity.
It was an easy enough modification and I wish the manufacturer would adopt this change.

This product is great, except that the car seat straps get caught in the velcro of the Bundle Me slits, making it cumbersome to properly strap in my baby. To resolve the problem I removed the velcro, and now it's easy to adjust the car seat straps to secure my baby in the car seat. She enjoys the warmth of the Bundle Me, and I love how the cover can be easily removed when it's not very cold out. The car seat head support still works underneath the Bundle Me.

I bought this because it looked so comfy, but my husband and I took the car seat to our local fire station to make sure we had installed it correctly and were told that these were not recommended because they interfere with the harness. The kind that go completely over the carriers are recommended. We returned ours. Safety first.

You must not use any aftermarket products with your car seats. This item is particularly DANGEROUS because it adds cushion between the baby and the straps. In a crash the cushion can compress and cause your baby to be INJURED OR EJECTED from the seat. Please use blankets or covers overtop. Your children should not have anything between them and the car seat except for a single layer of clothing because that is how the child retraints are tested and certified.
