4 out of 5 stars Beware of the Snap-n-go   July 5, 2005

We recently had our 3rd daughter and we decided on using this system rather than the travel system we did with the first 2 because it is so much more compact. I originally decided on the snap-n-go, however, when put together our graco snugride car seat didn't seem to fit. I took the snap-n-go back to babies -r-us to see if someone could check to make sure it was right. Thank god I did because I found out that baby trend had manufactured some wrong and it would not accomodate a graco car seat. Long story short they had just recieved this graco one in and exchanged it for me. Not only was this one easier to put together it seems sturdier and more compact. So far we love it! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a little tough to fold and unfold right now. I don't know if it is because it is so new, hopefully it will loosen up

5 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE   August 9, 2005

I feel compelled to write a review, even though my baby isn't even born yet. I have been going back and forth on which snap and go to get and yesterday I was at BRU and saw this. I had the guy show me the difference btwn this and the snap and go.
There is NO comparison, this is the glove that fits! You don't have to adjust any bars and better yet, you don't have to put a strap over the carrier when in use. He showed me how you can pick up the entire stroller with the bar of the snug ride. Basically once it is locked in place, the carrier is not going anywhere, much safer than the snap and go. The only thing, which wasn't an issue for me, is it only comes in black.
This is a must have and don't even think twice about it! It's worth every penny. I actually think the basket is bigger too! GO GET ONE! I can't wait to use mine in just 3 weeks:)

5 out of 5 stars So handy, small, & lightweight!   September 1, 2005

Wow- when I researced strollers for our baby- the Snap N Go looked like a great option with our car's limited storage- but it seemed difficult to use with the Graco SnugRide- and it lacked those little red lock-down tabs to hold down the car seat on travel systems. When I saw Graco had issued a similar car seat frame- I was thrilled!

The assembly is easy and requires no tools. It takes me more tme to prepare my diaper than it did to assemble this.

The compact size fits beautifully in our car, the stroller is small enough to take anywhere and has a small turning radius so it's quite manueverable.

I like that the stroller gives you the same perspective of an old style pram where you can see your baby's face well while standing or sitting.

Good handle height for people around 6' tall. The wheels are good on mosy urban surfaces and roll easily. The wheel locks are easy to engage and disengage- even wearing sport sandals.

Just bought this infant car seat carrier from Babies R Us.The assembly was very easy.Since this carrier is for Snugride and Safeseat car seat only, there are no extra bars or straps that need to be adjusted by parents. So we put the snugride right in. It locks into the carrier at three places--very secure, very easy. I have to say that two of the latches that attach the car seat to the frame are hard to release(turn) after they are locked. This maybe because it is brandnew. It is really not a problem.

I also like that it stands after it is folded. So we can put it right into our car. It is really light and has a bigger basket than Snap-N-Go's. I noticed that even with the Snugride infant car seat in place, it is very easy for me to access the basket below. Oh, it is better-looking than Snap-N-Go and Kolcraft's Universal car seat frame too.

Both my husband and I are happy with this purchase. If you are buying a Snugride or a Safeseat infant car seat, definitely go with this carrier insead of other So-called "universal fit" ones.

5 out of 5 stars Light, portable and easy to use   February 1, 2006

We bought this even though we have a big stroller/car seat combo. So why spend the extra money? The SnugRider is very light and doesn't take up as much room, so I can just leave it folded up in the back of our small car. It's also narrower than the big stroller, so it's easier to negotiate the aisles of crowded stores, etc. It's also great for those times when you have to "park in the ramp" and then lug the baby in the carseat through the elevator and skywalks or wherever until you get to a place with a shopping cart. (With the SnugRider you can still use a shopping cart - just fold it up and pop it in the cart.)

The carseat snaps on easily and it feels very stable and secure. The other great thing is the height-adjustable handle. We are not tall people (5'5" and 5'8"), but we always had trouble with our older son's umbrella stroller - the handles are just a bit too low and caused lower back pain when we'd use it for long periods of time (like at the zoo). [What in the world do tall people do?!] The SnugRider is just the right height and the cushioned handles are comfortable.

It took us awhile to get the hang of *quickly* opening and folding it, but once we realized that it folds up very much like a standard lawn chair, it was easy. That's important when it's freezing and you don't want to stand there with the hatch of your car open for long periods of time.

The only complaint I have is that the cupholder is too small in diameter. (Let's face it, this is America and we have very large beverages with us at all times.) I also wish it had a seat that could snap in when the child gets older so that it could be used like an umbrella stroller.
