5 out of 5 stars Tub of our Dreams!   December 7, 2002

My 6 week old loves her tub time! The thing that first attracted me to this particular tub was the infant cradle/sling. It is a machine washable netting complete with headrest that extends the length of the tub. It is great for those beginning sponge baths and continues to be useful as your little one learns to completely control their head and neck. No more bathing with one hand as you try to keep the baby upright with the other hand. This tub also has an added safety feature, a drain that begins to turn white as the water gets hotter. This makes it so much easier to gage wether the temperature is too hot for your precious baby. There is also a spot on the front of the tub where you can sit baby bath, washcloths, etc. I am so happy with our decision. This is a wonderful tub and I would recommend it to anyone.

3 out of 5 stars OK bath tub   October 8, 2002

I thought this would be the perfect bathtub for my infant son. Well, it is okay, but definitely not perfect. However, I am not sure there is a perfect one out there. This tub does have a lot of nice features. It has 2 built-in positions, one that is reclined for infants, and one that is upright for older babies and toddlers. It also comes with a sling that can be used for sponge bathing newborns, however I never used it. It fits in any size sink (single or double). The drain turns white when the water is too hot. My biggest problem with the tub is that my 3-month-old son hates to sit in the reclined section, but can't sit up well enough on his own to be in the upright section. I can't give him a bath by myself b/c I need my husband to hold my son up for me while I wash him. If you have a baby that is content to be reclined than you will probably really like this tub.

My dd is now 5 months old and we are still using this tub. I wasn't sure I would get a baby tub b/c a friend said she only used hers twice. Well, I'm glad I did! I selected this one after reading online reviews. It fits nicely in our kitchen sink which puts it at a good heighth to avoid back strain. It is nice sturdy plastic with no leaking (as fold up ones do), and no mildew on pads. The infant side has a little curve to it, so if baby splashes the water just rolls to the other side of tub, not out. The drain is very nice to have in the bottom, plus it turns white if water is too hot. The sling was great for sponge baths in the beginning, it really cradles baby so YOU feel better. I haven't used the toddler side yet b/c she can sit up, but I think she may outgrow it before I can do that anyway.

5 out of 5 stars So far so good!   August 23, 2002

I really like this tub so far. My son is only two weeks old so I haven't been able to submerge him completely in water. The little sling has worked well for his quick lil baths. I had a hard time picking out a tub. This one caught my eye because of its depth and versatility. I also like the drain plug and tempature guard. I don't believe any bathtub or sling should free your hands but this one does secure the baby so it's not so hard on you to keep them in place. I would suggest this product to any new parent.

I would like to add this tub fits on your sink so you can bathe baby right over the kitchen sink. This helps keep you from bending over so much. pretty neat idea!

5 out of 5 stars Great value   October 3, 2002

We bought this tub before our son was born because we liked the fact that we could use it as a newborn tub as well as an older baby tub. Our son was born a very small (but healthy) preemie who got to come home after a short stay in the hospital. The day his cord fell off, we decided to give him his first bath. He, of course, hated it, but the tub was perfect, even for his tiny little under 5 lb body. He's now 10 weeks old and LOVES his bath, and the tub has been great. He splashes me happily and kicks his little feet with no problems. He's a surprisingly long baby (for being so small at birth) and we've had no problems with the tub being too short. I like the non slip padding, the fact that it is light weight and easily portable. I also like the angle of the newborn side, because I flip him over and he props on the pad while I wash his back and cute little tush. He loves to flip over and bends his legs the instant they hit the water again and chews on the back of the tub while I wash him. I would highly recommend this to any new parent.
