I am a huge fan of the Bare Escentuals line. Their foundation and powder are great. Their eyeshadows are beyond fabulous. Their brushes are superb. But their version of concealer ... eh. I'm not a fan.
A few people had warned me off the Bare Escentuals line because it's all powder and they felt it really settled in any wrinkles and made your skin look older. I tried it and I didn't experience that at all with the foundation and powder. But with the concealer, a very big YES. I have the Bisque and while I think it works very well on blemishes on my cheeks, chin or forehead, when applied under my eyes (where I need the most help), it absolutely highlights every wrinkle making me look worse, not better. I still recommend the line as a whole, but find a different concealer.

Bare Minerals worked ok when my skin wasn't going through a dry spell, and I say ok because even then it never really looked natural. I read all these reviews raving about the product and so I, a poor, nearly starving college student, forked over the money and crossed my fingers. Like another reviewer said, it gave me a sallow, yellow look. The effect was like a Monet, ok from afar, but horrible up close. Nevermind when I went outside. The sunlight brought out every speck of the stuff on my dry skin.
Basically, this product may work if uneven pigmenting is your only problem, but go to a store if you can to try the colors. Its too hard to judge from a picture. I would also think this product would be better for the oiler skin crowd and not so much for women with dry spots like me. And it HIGHLIGHTS ACNE like no other. Also, the stuff gets everywhere so be prepared. I used one of those candle trays to keep the brushes and pots on my vanity. It helped contain some of the mess, but not all.

I love the look and feel of Bare Escentuals / Minerals. As I am close to the half a century mark I tired of Liquid makeup as, while it may cover and conceal as needed, it was not natural or fresh looking. In other words others see makeup as opposed to seeing a natural look.
Since I began using the Bare Escentuals / Minerals line my skin now looks more healthy and radiant. I still have my imperfections but correct use of the product hides this while at the same time I do not feel "made-up" or as if I am wearing a mask.
Another note, I live in Florida where the humidity is terrible and I can honestly say that with Bare Escentuals / Minerals when I perspire it does not remove the makeup or cause streaking. For me this is a big issue as I am prone to perspire a lot. Plus it contains a SPF of 15 which is great for all skin types!
Lastly, I love the fact that if I fall asleep with Bare Escentuals / Minerals on - it is okay! The minerals will not harm your skin and it is not like sleeping with a mask on.
Did not mean to write a book, but I honestly love and use all of the Bare Escentuals / Minerals line, I have for about 4 and a half years now and I love it. I encourage anyone remotely interested to try the line, I think you will be as pleasantly surprised as I am!

Bare minerals is ok. I've been using it for about 4 months, but don't think it's any better than other products that are cheaper in the store. I love the small cover up brush and will continue to use that, but the makeup itself appears cakey on my skin and when using "warmth", even a little bit on my light skin, it's too fake bake looking. I understand that it is a mineral, but I also don't enjoy the mineral smell once it is on my skin, sort of like a dirt smell. Overall, okay, but one of those things you have to remember to cancel before they deduct the next payment!

I have dry skin, and when I put a little bit on my chin, it looked cakey and heavy. It does have good coverage, but too cakey. I didn't feel "natural" looking, since the lightest color was not light enough for my skin. If you have either dry skin or a fair complextion, I suggest trying it in the store first before potentionally wasting your money.
