I have been using this makeup line for years, and at first I didn't like it. I then found out that I wasn't doing it right to get the coverage I needed. It's important to get enough makeup in the brush. At any rate, I now love it and can't imagine using anything else. This makeup has really improved my skin over time, I have terribly oily skin and liquid foundations just turned to mud by the end of the day. Now, if I go without makeup for a few days I break out, instead of makeup breaking me out like it used to. I can't say enough about this stuff, it's great. If you use it and find you don't like it, you may want to visit with someone else who uses it or the counter because it's possible you aren't getting it quite right. That was the case with me.

I recently tried this product after hearing so many great reviews. I did not like it at all. It accentuated my pores and wrinkles. Also left my skin looking chalky. Very disappointed.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE BARE MINERALS FOUNDATION, MINERAL VEIL AND FACE COLOR (WARMTH). I RECEIVED AN UPDATED BOOK TO FIND I AM OUTDATED. BARE ESSENTIALS NOW HAS THE FOLLOWING: A NEW NATURAL AND LIFTING AFFECT FOR YOUR FACE, 12 BARE MINERAL FOUNDATIONS, 2 MINERAL VEIL COLORS, 3 BISQUE COLORS, 3 FACE COLORS, 3 RADIANCE COLORS, 8 SOFT FOCUS EYE AND CHEEK COLORS (NOT BLUSH), 23 BLUSH COLORS, 28 EYE COLORS, 30 GLIMMMER EYE ACCENTS, 21 GLIMPSES OF EYE SHIMMER COLORS (NOT RELATED TO GLIMMER), 2 SHIMMERY METALLICS UNDER AND OVER EYES, 28 EYELINER COLORS (MUST USE A LINER SEALER TO KEEP ON), AND 28 BRUSHES TO APPLY THESE PRODUCTS EXCEPT FOR LIP COLOR. I DIDN'T BOTHER TO LIST THE LIP COLORS. WHEN ASKED THE ORDER TO APPLY FOR BEST RESULTS, THE ANSWER WAS, SKIN REV-ER UPPER, FOUNDATION AND MINERAL VEIL AFTER THAT ANY THING YOU LIKE IN ANY ORDER. WHEN ASKED WHICH FOUNDATION COLOR WAS BEST FOR A CERTAIN SKIN COLOR THE ANSWER WAS PLAY AROUND AND TRY A FEW, I HAVE USED FOUR DIFFERENT COLORS WAS THE REPLY. WELL I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR ANYONE WHO CANNOT ANSWER SOME BASIC QUESTIONS WHICH ARE VERY IMPORTANT. I ALSO FIND THE LIQUID MAKEUP DEMO TO BE A LITTLE (ACTUALLY A LOT)MISLEADING. SHE PUTS ALMOST HALF A BOTTLE ON HER HAND AND TRIES TO SAY THAT IS WHAT IS ON YOUR FACE. WHO USES THAT MUCH LIQUID ON THEIR FACE. AT LEAST BE HONEST. I HAVE FOUND A VERY NICE MINERAL MAKEUP AND TOGETHER WITH MY LIQUID (YES, I WENT BACK TO MY LIQUID), THEY WORK GREAT TOGETHER. I DON'T HAVE THE TIME OR THE MONEY TO PLAY AROUND AND I AM SURE BY THE TIME BARE ESSENTIALS IS DONE THERE WILL BE OVER 30 FOUNDATIONS AND OVER 60 BLUSHES, SHADOWS, LINER, AND MINERALS THAT WILL MAKE YOUR FACE SHINE, GLOW, GLIMMER ETC.ETC,ETC

This is an ok loose powder that is very soft and light and I like to use it because obviously it leaves no shine. I think it's a little bit too pricey for what it is, but it's not bad. It has a little bit too sheer of a finish, but for someone like me with normal skin, it's fine. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with oily or acne skin, because the coverage won't nearly be enough. Personally, I think that Clarins has a far better powder that I prefer to use.

i love bare escentuals. it's so natural you don't feel like you have that "heavy makeup face" on. it doesn't clog your pores either. don't forget to "tap" after you swirl--it takes so little that if you have too much in your brush you will end up with lines and wrinkles.
