There are many comments about how people can't get the correct 1440 x 900 aspect ratio with this monitor... but the problem is not with the monitor nor is it with the drivers. The problem is with their video card / adapter. Just make sure your video adapter allows you to view 1440 x 900 and this monitor will work great. It's a nice minotor with excellent resolution... HD stuff looks great on it and it's hard to beat the price.

This is a pretty good monitor, haven't noticed any backlighting issues and there were no dead pixels in the two I bought. Resolution is nice and the 5ms refresh rate means you can use it for games without any problem.
The only problem I found is that this monitor doesn't have a DVI input. Although the description doesn't mention the monitor having one (which would have changed my rating to zero since it would have been a lie), its not something you look carefully at, as one would expect a 19W monitor to have a DVI input by default.
You can buy an adapter for that, but it just feels like a blemish on an otherwise excellent product.

This is not the quality I expected from Acer. It came with a bad pixel. Do not buy this model. Go for the AL1916WABD, thats the newer model to this that also comes with DVI port. 3 Stars because the monitor is great otherwise. The base could be sturdier but I don't see that as a problem because it won't topple over unless you really hit it hard. This would have been so great if it did not have that bad pixel. The auto adjust functions work well, even with games and movies.
I love it.. Ferrari uses the same monitors.. nice touch! January 3, 2007

I could'nt believe the price!.. but when i got this monitor it was beautiful! My boyfriend loved it so much he bought one too. Being a part time photographer I noticed the clarity and vibrance right away! You know it cant be bad if the company "Ferrari" uses the same monitor brand. Nice and wide, clear as a bell. The only flaw I can see is it really doesnt swivel. But I swivel my chair instead.

My daughter refused to use other monitor in the house, she wants Acer LCD only.
