Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Tried with Vista and Mac OS X. I plugged in the SD card before plugging the device into the computer's USB port. Used with SanDisk Extreme III 2 GB, and SanDisk microSD 2 GB with SD adapter.

Awesome design, easy to handle, and fast, very fast read/write. Very happy, and what's even better is they gave it to me free with a SD Micro purchase.

My husband and I both got one of these for are MP3 Players. We wanted to be able to put more than 150 songs on our players. Awesome deal, great price, and we will now be able to put near 500 songs. These cards were more than $50.00 at Wal-Mart. Not only did we get a Micro SD Card we got a free card reader so we can easily move data from card to computer easily. Huge Bargain! It was such a deal we went back and bought another one a week later. The only problem we had was that there was no paperwork, invoice, or packaging. It came in a plastic case in a plain envelope. Was skeptical but works just fine. We would recommend this product and this company also.

I ordered this card reader as part of a package (with SD card) to give as a gift. The card reader would not work on their computer. I believe it runs an earlier version of Windows. I contacted seller for help or appropriate drivers to make it work. Their only suggestion was to return it. It may work with xp or vista, but I wouldn't order it for earlier versions.

I thought I had seen a review from someone that said they couldn't write information to the memory card when using this device, only read from it. Im not sure why they are having problems, I have none with the read or write functions using this unit. I use it to transfer mp3s to a 2GB Sandisk card and play on my garmin gps, and it works perfect.
