Almost Perfect December 7, 2003 Rick Buchanan (Roanoke, Virginia United States) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have lived with this mug for months, now, and I love it. It fits into my car drink holder (which many mugs do not), and I like the lock back device which keeps the drinking hole cover out of your way (I have a beard). The tapered shape and nobby rubber grip feels comfortable and secure in the hand. The cap isn't leak proof, but it screws on tightly enough to prevent spills unless you knock it over, at which point liquid can seep out of the drinking hole.It really does what it's supposed to do, which is keep my coffee hot. This is especially true if you follow the instructions and rinse the mug with hot water prior to putting the coffee in. It stays hot enough for me much longer than it takes me to drink 18 ounces, although I do not like my coffee scalding hot. I find that I use this at work and home for a desk mug, as well as using it as a travel mug, as it is easy to carry around, and it has its own rubber coaster on the bottom. It holds a LOT of liquid. Two minor negatives: You can't microwave it (but you wouldn't need to, would you, unless the coffee was already cold in the pot?), and you can't put it in the dishwasher. I usually rinse it with hot water daily, and give it a hand wash in the sink when it needs it. Note that the outside is stainless, but the inside will stain. I truly recommend this product.
Great insulation, minor design flaw September 25, 2005 John Ryan 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is a great travel mug, it keeps my coffee hot for 4 hours if I don't have a chance to drink it. Unfortunately, there is a design flaw with the lid - every time I flip up the stopper on the lid and tip my cup towards me so that I can drink, the stopper predictably puts 1 drop of coffee on the bridge of my nose. My solution has been to just keep the stopper up so that it doesn't have a chance to drip coffee on me.
The BEST insulated travel tumbler February 12, 2003 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have owned this item for over 6 years now, and it still works as well as the day I bought it. I use it almost every morning to keep my coffee or tea hot, and in the afternoon to keep my water cold. Under both conditions it insulates for hours, eliminating the need to 'chug' your coffee while it's still warm (I hate cold coffee!). I recommend this for anyone looking for the best insulated travel mug around!
Nearly perfect. April 11, 2003 EvilBunny (NJ, United States) 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I got my travel tumbler at the same time I purchased a thermos for my SO. The only complaint I could possibly have is that there is a small hole on the bottom of the tumbler (in the rubber non-skid foot bit) that can retain water and then release it at an inapprpriate moment. It doesn't really leak or drip (this hole), but when I sat it on my desk, I kept wondering where the water ring was coming from. That having been said, the only other suggestion I could have is that the snapping lid (that makes it spill-proof, but not drip-proof) fit more snugly. Other than these two relatively minor issues, it's a great tumbler. It keeps my coffee hot (I haven't tried out cold on it,yet), cleans easily and looks great. It gets jostled quit a bit during my morning commute, but doesn't spill (it hasn't been knocked to the floorboards, yet, traffic isn't that rough.) Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a high-quality travel cup that keeps things hot for quite some time, this is your best bet.
This thing is awesome! September 27, 2003 Eric W. Moore (Columbia, MO USA) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
My wife gave this to me as a gift 8 years ago. It's design today is exactly the same as then, and it still works as flawlessly as it did the first time. It must have been through the dishwasher a million times, and still looks brand new. This is simply the best of its kind!
