Not the solution for me! November 26, 2005 Laternser 21 out of 23 found this review helpful
I purchased one, cooked several items for one hour ... and took it back. If all you really need is a toaster then get a toaster. This is not a great oven design. Pros: It turns on and heats with a thermostat. Toaster slot closes and seals. Toaster crumbs easy to clean out ... far better than any other toaster!!!. Quartz element heating. Good visual on toast as it heats. Two top elements! Excellent thermostat. Cons: In my exerience, it is way too much work to get toast. Multiply the problem by all the days you will use it ... how many hours spent from your life? When you do get the toast, it will be properly done! No broil! No timer / auto shut off. -> both these functions are necessary in an oven! VERY small oven area. Too small for most purposes. As an oven, it is very good for heating VERY small/short items. Suppose you want to make a toasted cheese sandwich. You can leave the top open, put the sandwich on the rack, and push down on the toaster button. This will keep the elements running with out the thermostat cutting off. Be prepared to push the toaster lever down again ... it will pop up before the sandwich is finished. Without explicit time functions you will have a very hard time getting what you want. Last note: Frozen waffles collapsed in the toaster and became boat shaped. I guess there is not enough side support for floppy items. Not the unit for me.
Too small for toast November 13, 2006 M. Matlack 17 out of 21 found this review helpful
The first thing we tried to do after purchasing this was toast two pieces of bread. We could not fit two slices side by side and part of the bread stuck out of the top. Returned.
Problem is.... June 13, 2006 Evelyn Uyemura (Torrance, CA USA) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Let's say you want to toast a bagel or half a baguette in the bottom section. You can, but you have to sit in front of the thing and watch it, because the toast selection knob only applies to the top section. So on the bottom section, you have to turn it on and off manually. Or let's say you put bread in the top section and it comes out not quite brown enough, so you push it down a second time, and then you need to stop it before it completes its cycle...if you manually pull the toast up, it flies across the room like in old cartoons. It's not a problem when the toast pops up on its own, but it is if you have to manually pull it up. Cute concept, but it needs some work.
Great idea, okay execution. January 5, 2006 J. ARCA 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Pros: It toasts really fast--2 minutes--better than any other toaster oven. It has a small footprint. Major con: Breads do not go in deep enough. The tops of my normal-sized bread slices were sticking out. When the toast was done, the top portions were soft and untoasted.

I'm on Amazon right now looking for a replacement for this junk. It burns almost everything you put in it, largely due to it's inability to toast evenly, you'll end up with a burnt line on a piece of toast everytime. I believe Consumer Reports also singled this toaster out as the only one to avoid in their test group. Stay away!
