Before I discovered this fabulous magazine, I was never able to get into Martha Stewart Living publications because of the "do it all from scratch" style Martha preaches. However, Everyday Food isn't like that at all. It's always filled with pages of delicious and simple dishes, from appetizers to desserts, that aren't time-consuming to prepare. Perfect for a career girl like me. This magazine is truly different from other MSL magazines and clearly is done with a specific target audience in mind: meaning those of us who love to cook, but aren't interested in doing everything from scratch. Even my husband, Mr. Macho Guy, looks to this magazine for ideas when it's his week to cook. Whether you are a fan of creative new dishes, like me, or a fan of awesome comfort food, like my husband, this magazine is a great source to kick your meals up a notch! Yummy yummy! Enjoy!
Wonderful, Useful, fun magazine September 21, 2004 Kim O'Connor (New York) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
This summer I picked up a copy of this magazine for the first time. I ended up cooking seven or eight things out of that one issue! They were all wonderful and simple, but not so simple as to be dull. I made strawberry bread, peach cobbler, lime cookies with lime glaze, pork kabobs with apple and red onion, steak and cherry tomato kabobs, among other things. I am now a devoted fan of this magazine. I have subscribed to many cooking magazines for years and this is definitely the best one I have ever seen. Can't wait for the next issue.

I'm a big fan of Martha Stewart, AND her magazines, and I really enjoy "Every Day Food." Lets face it, no one has better ideas for cooking, or presents food in a more appetizing manner than Martha - and this magazine includes numerous practical, easy-to-make recipes for the busy family. From seasonal recipes to everyday meals, even the advertisements have great recipes! This magazine is a must-have for those looking to expand their culinary repertoires without a lot of fuss. In particular, I appreciated her seasonal issue with the cranberry cake recipe. This was very well received in my house. Kudos to Martha Stewart and staff for putting together this easy-to-use, fun magazine!
awesome! January 8, 2005 M. Gatens (Jersey City, NJ) 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
My grandmother, who I often consult on recipes, ingredients and cooking techniques, got me a subscription to this magazine. She handed me 2 issues in person. I loved the issues so much, I couldn't wait for my subscription to kick in and ended up buying the December issue from the check-out line. I love the little educational columns "how to buy chicken!" and find the recipes easy to follow. Even better are the pictures of how to prepare the meal. My only complaint is that I see a recipe and can never remember which mag it is in for future reference. I'd love to see a book. Lastly----what's with the chiles in adobo sauce?! They seem to be in a lot of recipes for such a rare ingredient!
BEST Magazine ever! January 8, 2005 Cookie M. Cook (Florida) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
On a friends recomendation, I got a subscription to this magazine. I LOVE IT! I am always looking forward to new issues. When I first subscribed, I thought it would take a long time to get an issue. I received one within a month, and then another in a week. (they sent me the current, and then following issue) I was in heaven! I go through them all, and put sticky notes on the recipes that I like for easy access. This entire weeks dinners have come out of their menus. As for the Adobo Chili girl, it took me awhile to find them, but once I did I understood why they always use them. What a great flavor! A great magazine for someone that can cook, or someone that is kitchen inept. I have recently gotten a friend addicted that could burn a pot of water, and now she is using recipes and calling me all proud.
