My mom used to subscribe to this magazine when I was growing up. I used to read it often throughout my adolesence. However I always found the magazine to be lacking. (Quality, Information.) Now some 10 years later I decided to try the magazine out once again. Since there has been some recent hype going around about it. I got this months newsstand -- April -- issue and the Special Puppy issue. I am in Love! It seems the Dog Fancy has improved by leaps and bounds since my last read. Now it contains an enormous ammount of extremely helpful information as well as stories and such to entertain you.

I love this magazine. Amazon.com's price is great-better than the publisher's price. I am a dog enthusiast, and this magazine is my favorite. The articles on specific breeds of dogs are great, you can learn a lot about the dog you want from them. The other articles are also great, especially the health realated ones. I highly recommend this magazine.

Dog Fancy is definitely one of the best magazines around for dog owners. There's information on practically every topic available, including health care, training, nutrition, exercise, safety, traveling, selecting a dog, an annual puppy issue, and even cleaning tips. While Dog Fancy praises shelter dogs and mixed-breeds, they also feature 3 breeds in each magazine--usually two fairly well-known dogs and a rare breed. Definitely a must-buy!

Thanks for the opportunity to review Dog Fancy Magazine. This mag is chock-full of great articles, including information on cutting-edge medical procedures, excellent products and heartwarming stories....another person on this site wrote a review indicating that they never received their subscription. I must say that their subscription dept. is not that great, as I had the same problem. Now, I buy it myself it every month when I go into my local pet store to buy pet food. By the way, the other dog mag, Dog World, is also excellent and I actually get both of them there....well worth the money---I find that I have saved them and have files where I tear out articles and have them at ready-access should I need them, especially stuff about health, national health related websites, how to find specialists, etc.....buy it! You won't be sorry......

this is my favorite dog magazine...lots of useful information and the price on Amazon is really cheap compared to buying it from the mag company
