Porn...Yes! May 4, 2003 10 out of 18 found this review helpful
I don't care that I have to hide it from my girlfriend, this magazine is worth it! I "read it for the articles"...yeah right. The pics are hot and I have bought it for over 20 years and will keep doing it. Nothing is better to look at before bed you know?
An anachronism November 14, 2004 Frank DeFelice (San Jose, CA) 10 out of 27 found this review helpful
This magazine is tired and boring. It should be retired. The photography is dull and stupid. Who reads the articles? If you're an aspiring glamour photographer, you won't learn much from this magazine!

This item was ordered as a gift for our son-in-laws birthday. The first issue of the magazine was delivered as promised. I was very satisfied with the service.
for the english October 29, 2002 Brandt Raphael (Fribourg Switzerland) 9 out of 13 found this review helpful
As a swiss male who wanted to practice his english i founded playboy awesome... So, i definitly read the articles. Sadly Playboy has changed, getting more and more toward FHM or Maxim magazines directions. The articles are shorter and less interesting. The forum is only about legalization of drugs, sometimes you get some celebrity who undercover herself in a good way, but it's like one time a year, and for the centerfolds, they're using digital technologies over pictures that are only done indoors, like it's not fake enough (no more running naked in the desert...). So, with all the lighting (always at the same spots...) and cheap effects, there's not much room for creativity left. Once upon a time, Playboy claimed that they were doing art, and was actually right about it. This was a long time ago (check out the '70 and '80 issues) All is gone now. Get ready for the plastic ! They definitly should rename they're magazine : playboy, entertainment for boys.
Ah, Carmella De Cesare Proves There Is A God! August 10, 2006 Steve Guardala (Land Of The Dying Gaul!!!) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
For over fifty years Hugh Hefner has beaten his critics with a very diverse magazine. Beyond great pictures, Playboy has been a leader in fighting for rights that we so often take for granted. Whether defending what consulting adults do in private, or how to worship or not to as we please. Mr. Hefner has been there without the extremes of the ACLU. It also has timely articles on law, science, sports, arts and entertainment. The women in Playboy are more sensual than in Maxim or FHM. Who often just have the revolving flavor of the month girl. Mr. Hefners creation has outclassed and outlasted its competition for a reason. I deduct 1 star because, blonds {usually out of a bottle} are overepresented than their actual % of our population. Mr. Hefner, please bring on more Oriental and Mediteranean goddesses. Like Kelly Hu and Vanessa Marcil.
