3 out of 5 stars A lot better then it used to be   November 11, 2005

I was a subscriber from the beginning up onto about 2001 and the magezine is a lot better then it was before. The writing is good now and has more list type of stuff. The best weekly sports mag is baseball weekly but I don't know why they added football.

3 out of 5 stars ESPN the Magazine   November 14, 2005
potato_salad (kansas city)
I've been subscribing to ESPN for almost a year but I've been reading for 3 years. It has good articles but some are too long or too short especialy when you are just getting into it. It has fantasy guides for every major pro sport. They cover all sports which is good but not in enough detail. They might have one or two articles at most fot your sport unless the season is just starting. Then they'll have more. Other then that it pretty much doesn't stand out although I like it considerably more than Sports Illustrated.

If you are like me, and have a wife and young children, you don't exactly get a ton of time to watch or read about sports. Enter ESPN the mag. 15 minutes in the bathroom with this every month is enough to give me the scoop on all of the major sports, along with a few interesting in depth articles. The Sports Guy is a must read every month, along with the Q&A portion where they ask a famous athlete's best friend and significant other a series of personal questions to see who really knows the person better.
