This magazine is my personal favorite. The stories are extremely interesting and fan friendly. I recieve the other sports magazines too, but this one takes the cake. The best writers/photographers out there. BUY THIS!

5 out of 5 stars ESPN the Mag   June 16, 2003

IF you are contimplating between sports mags... then look no furthur. This magizine has great articles and superior writing that is a breath of fresh air away from SI. Great updates in the back of the magizine on just about every sport including the NCAA and Extreme sports. The interviews are with all of your favorite athletes, upcomers, and people close to the game. Ive had SI and i decided to try out ESPN, and now I'll never change back.

4 out of 5 stars Not like SI   March 18, 2004

ESPN the Magazine is NOTHING like Sports Illustrated. Sports Illustrated is is written by journalists who happen to be sports fans, whereas ESPN the Magazine is written by sports fans who happen to be journalists. It's a bit esoteric sometimes, the way they reference events and athletes--if you're not a die-hard sports fan who watches shows like ESPN Sportscenter every night many of these references will be lost on you.

However, ESPN the Magazine is flashier and more in line with the way sports has evolved.

Sports Illustrated is the NewsWeek of mainstream sports magazines and ESPN the Magazine is the Entertainment Weekly of sports magazines. If you really love sports, get both.

2 out of 5 stars Not that good   August 23, 2005

ESPN is getting downright bad. Their magazine sucks (unless you like nothing but crappily written baseball articles, not to mention it's full of ads), and their network shows nothing but little league baseball and poker.
