AWESOME Native American Flute Music! November 14, 2006 Patricia R. Henschen (Tucson, AZ) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
R. Carlos Nakai is the best of the best among those playing Native American flute, and this C.D. is his absolute best. It transports one into higher dimensions and brings peace. I can't say enough good stuff about this C.D. I had wanted it for years and I finally got it! It was worth the wait.
Peaceful and Spirit Filled June 9, 2003 Victoria Lord (Catonsville, Maryland United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Whatever your view of "God", this music will take you into a state of oneness with that God. It cuts through all of the layers of modern life and expresses something so pure and deep it can only be of the spirit! This music has been my favorite Sabbath and early morning music since forever ~ years and years. You will not regret this purchase if you love spirit and pure sound.
I can never get enough of this cassette July 21, 1999 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The music reminds me of the eagles circling and crying out. The echos of their cries move my spirit to want to fly with them as they search the skies and the grounds with their infinite freedom. I have given this to many people for gifts and recommeded it to many more.
Enticing and haunting February 17, 2001 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Nakki produces a romantic, healing, while vaguely haunting music that gently transports you back to a time when music was more than just entertainment. Nakki emulates the traditional music of his Navajo-Ute in a way that is both touching and mystic. Be prepared to be taken on a journey where you will be introduced to the feelings an impressions that Nakki himself experiences. He will show you through his music what the world around his means to him, and he will instill that awe of life in you.Nakki doesn't fall into the trap of giving the musical tourist exactly what he expects. There is no chanting or jingling bells, no corny sound effects or war cries. Instead he simply taps into that inner peace that we all look for. Perhaps that's the reason so many people have come to appreciate his music. The universal understanding of, and need for, peace and insight.
Nakai's Best August 2, 2001 J. Zambrano (Echo Park, Los Angeles, CA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I put this CD in and press Repeat All. Listening to it all day helps me to focus and follow through with what I need. It will speak to you. I am a long time fan of Nakai and feel this is his best.
