Although I have enjoyed other music from Ottmar Liebert, I did not like this solo album. In my oppinion all the songs sound the same and they lack substance. It would make fine elevator music, but not what I would want to listen to for pleasure.

If you are looking for something soothing, romantic, and simple... This CD is it. Ottmar Liebert plays one guitar, as the album says, and it is beautiful. To me it is like looking at a black and white version of a color photo. There is less going on, but ironically it becomes more emotionally moving as a result. The best places to listen to this CD are in your home while you are lying down trying to relax, in the car (if you are like me and have a problem with road rage, this will help calm you down), while working in the kitchen, or while you have a bath. If you have a partner, it would be nice to dance to or sit together and talk while it is playing. Just some suggestions there. If you're going back and forth on whether or not to get it, my recommendation is to go ahead and give it a try. I think you will be very satisfied.
