Missy is one of the most talented singer/songwriters around today. Her voice is mellow and sexy and powerful at the same time. Her lyrics are moving and poetic, full of emotion. If you don't have this CD, get it.

I took a risk and imported this CD last December, before you could preview the songs, and it quickly became my favorite album. I especially like the song 'Sugarcane'.
If you enjoyed "The Sound of White" or like albums with a strong female vocal and lots of piano, I highly recommend "On A Clear Night."

Missy Higgins debut album ("The Sound of White") was a touch of pure brilliance. Of haunting lyrics and melodies ....
Sadly "On a Clear Night" doesn't follow up Missy's first offering. It doesn't seem to quite have "that spark" with many of the songs sounding samey, merging with the one before. Nothing really stands out. That's not to say this is a not pleasant album to listen to. It just doesn't take you anywhere.
Let's hope her third album picks up where the first left off.

I actually found this artist on MySpace, believe it or not. Loved her songs so much, I bought the CD. I'm very glad I did. Every song is a winner.

I first saw Missy on the Live Earth concert from Australia and thought she was a great tallent. I wondered why hasn't she been discovered in the US? All of the songs on the CD are catchy but different in their own way. They get in your head and won't go away. My favorites are Peachy and The Wrong Girl. The only song I skip is the last one on the CD, which sounds like it was recorded somewhere other than a studio and has poor sound quality. Maybe that was the raw, artsy sound she was going for. Anyway, I give this CD 5 stars. I just ordered the Sound Of White yesterday. Looking forward to hearing it and enjoying it as much as On A Clear Night.
