PURE OCEAN; use this with Deep Breathing! Therapy for the Soul December 11, 2006

This Dan Gibson CD is one I use to teach deep, diaphragmatic breathing...the tempo is good if you use one breath in, with one wave, and one breath out, with the second wave. This is very helpful for relaxation and for breathing practice for Anxiety disorders. There are no annoying "extra noises" like seagulls, foghorns, boat motors, or otherwise extraneous distractions. What you get is Pure Ocean Waves...something quite difficult to find in the "ocean" of SFX and "relaxation CD's" out there. Slightly over an hour long, you can use this for one great calming break. No music in this one either, JUST the waves resounding a crash, trickle, smooth movement. If you can't relax with this one, we should talk!!

Only surf, no music. I bought it to have a "white noise" to make my new born sleep, but I like it too. You might find it a bit boring but, if you are looking for the ultimate ocean surf, this CD is definately what to want to have.

I bought this CD based on the reviews from Amazon customers. They were completely correct in saying this IS the CD to get. I am so tired of CD's that have music and animals, this is perfect. You can picure yourself at the beach when this CD is playing. I am really happy with my purchase and the price is very good.

This CD has very realistic and authentic ocean sounds. It's definately a high quality CD. However, it's only ocean sounds, no animals or music. I would prefer some animal sounds for a little variety. But, it's great if your looking for just ocean wave sounds. At first I had a hard time going to sleep because I had the volume turned too high. After turning the sound down, I enjoyed the CD more.
