I purchased this CD to have a relaxing background while I was in labor and to help me sleep the last couple months of my pregnancy. Now that I've had the baby I'm putting it on for white noise for he and I to get to sleep. I am completely satisfied--there is no distracting music, it just sounds like you're by the ocean with the window open. Very relaxing, a very good deal.

This is anything but soothing. The tone is too high pitched; nothing like the deep bass of crashing waves along the rocky Carmel coastline that I was hoping for. I did buy the twofer and got the Ocean Surf CD by Dan Gibson and found it much more relaxing, even though it isn't a tumbling surf sound. I was able to fall asleep... which was my goal. Now if I could only return Ocean Waves.

This CD doesn't cost much, but it's not particularly good either. The audio is indistinct and not as soothing as expected.

I am sitting here listening to the CD as I type. We live 20 miles from
the Gulf Coast of Florida and don't always get a chance to go to the
beach, so this is as close as I get. I love listening to the calming
sound of the waves rushing into the beach and I was pleasantly surprised
to hear the sea gulls. I highly recommend this CD as a relaxation tech-
nique for those like me who have trouble unwinding at the end of the day.
I also highly recommend the "Thundering Rainstorms" CD.
This society that we all live in is always, "Rush, Rush, Rush" and these
CD's have a real calming effect. LOVE THEM!!!!
