Let me start by saying I'm a big Pat Benatar fan an have been since the beginning. I own all her albums (first on tape, now on CD/DVD). I'm saddened to say, "This one is not up to par". I rushed to buy "Go" the day it was released, and was more and more disheartened as I listened to each track. The arrangements were ordinary; nearly every song sounded the same; Neil's guitar was overbearing throughout; and most of the lyrics were worse than songs I wrote in high school. My advice is buy "Best Shots" again; don't waste your time with "Go".

I can't believe Pat could get any better. Listening to this CD only reinforces the fact that she and Neil are at the top of their form. Being an all time fan and 51 years old now, I still love her music, from her kick-ass rock to her wonderful ballads. This CD makes me feel younger than my years. Their music has matured and yet still rocks. The themes of their songs are very near and dear to most of our hearts. Brittany, you'll never hold a candle to Pat. As with most wines, Pat only gets better with age.

Finally Pat gets back to what she does best. Yes that's right, straight ahead Rock & Roll. This cd is very much a blast from the past and it's a refreshing change from the dribble out their today. One reviewer gave this cd a low score because it's full of bitterness and lacks love. Give me a break Please!!!!!!!. Go drink some red wine and then go outside and hug a tree, you'll feel better after that. Love has no place in Rock & Roll, ballads maybe but not Rock & Roll. This cd rocks and it's a treat to hear some old fashioned in your face rock again. All the tunes are good, however it'll take a few listens to truly appreciate them. The Christmas song at the end of the cd is a nice touch and I certainly understand it's meaning being of the Christian faith myself and so on. This piece of plastic is indeed very good and I would recommend it to all you closet Pat fans!!

I knew that Pat Benatar still had a great voice due to the fact that I saw her in concert just a couple of short years ago. Well, with this album, she more than proves that she still has that voice. In addition, she has created an album that is both modern in spots and yet has her signature sound all over it.

Highlighs on this album are many. The opening title track--what can you say about this?? An in-your-face, angry rocker with as much attitude as Pat has ever displayed on any song. The next track, "Brave", sees a vintage Pat ballad of sorts, a la "We Belong". "I Won't" has some of the heaviest guitar that Neil Girardo has ever played on a Pat album--and the song rocks. "Please Don't Leave Me" is an emotional, heartfelt ballad about halfway through the album. "In My Dreams" is a good midtempo track with a bit of modern pop/rock that is present in several of the songs here. "Tell Me" breaks into one of the most surefire '80s-sounding rockers on the album--vintage Pat.

I'm not going to insist that this album is as good as or better than Pat's vintage albums in the early '80s. Nonetheless, it is absolutely right up there in terms of vocals, song quality, and general musicianship. Make no mistake about it: if you are a Pat fan of years past, then this album belongs in your collection. Support this album from an all-time legendary artist. For sure, Pat has put out another absolute winner here. Highly recommended as a must-purchase album for classic and melodic rock fans looking for quality new material.
