Great bargain October 17, 2003 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I bought a new Canon i560 a month ago to replace my old Lexmark Z52. The printer was primarily just for all-purpose use, not really for photographs. Included in the box were 5 free samples Canon Photo Paper Plus (Glossy). So I decided to give it a try. I was blown-away by the quality of the printer combined with this paper. The quality is abosolutely unreal.I'm not sure whether the printer contributes more or the paper contributes more, but this is a sweet deal given that this package now costs $7.94 for a 50 pack (10/16/2003)-- that's 16 cents a sheet. Add ink costs, and maybe per print it costs around 25 cents. If you were to order digital prints online--the cheapest I've found was 18 cents a print not even counting shipping. With shipping, for a batch of 27 exp, it runs around 26 cents. Therefore if you have a good printer, this 50-pack is a great deal by the sheer convenience of printing 4X6 and getting them relatively instantly compared to ordering online and waiting a week for them.
Love this paper !!!!!!!!!! November 14, 2003 Lizabeth (Bronx, NY United States) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I used this paper with the Canon I470D printer. I was worried it would print funny and the 4X6 size wouldn't work. But it worked PERFECTLY - my pics look so professional, and no one could tell I did them myself at home.I compared this photo paper with HP's glossy 4X6 - not the same quality. The Canon is much cleaner and prettier. No lines, just perfect color and resolution. Definitely a GREAT purchase !!!!!!!!!!!!
Very few (if any) people will know the difference January 30, 2004 E. Thompson (San Francisco Bay Area, CA, USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought 5 packs of this paper and printed 100 photos for the front of our holiday card last year (December 2003).The results were awesome, and most people cannot tell that it is not a print. I printed from iPhoto on an iMac G4 using a Canon i850 photo printer. You can always get better paper and a better printer and get even better results.. but for nearly every use I have found this paper (and other Canon papers like the 8.5x11) look terrific. Buy a bunch, you will print more than you think, and it's no fun to run out.
Flawless and fun. July 16, 2004 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
Before finding it on Amazon, I use to drive 40 miles each way to buy this at an overpriced, overcrowded electronics megastore than shall remain nameless for $12.99 per pack. THAT is how far above this paper stands above everything else that I have tried. The price is great here and if you get quality paper it will reduce the ink money and frustration you would spend trying to get a decent print out of a cheaper paper. Also, the paper is the perfect size, quality, and cost (about half as much per print than a tranditional print) to have fun with. BUY TWO SIDED TAPE and stick these little gems everywhere.I generally cannot discern the difference between this and the pro paper, and after spending the last decade in the darkroom, I like to think I can generally tell something about quality photographic prints. I have not had the yellow tint problem that has been mentioned in earlier reviews.
Excellent Product... August 21, 2003 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have a Canon i850 printer. I have used the Canon Photo Paper Pro (4x6) and the Canon Photo Paper Plus (4x6). They both appear to be about the same quality. I currently only use and recommend the Canon Photo Paper Plus (4x6) because of its price is a lot less and the quality is basically the same.
