4 out of 5 stars Works well for me and my cellphone   November 20, 2006

My experience has been positive -- I have a Sanyo 7300 cell phone (with Sprint) and this was the best headset on the aisle at Frys. I know because I called a friend and plugged in one after another, and his ruling was only this one made my voice sound clear and present, whereas every other one I tried was horrible. Have since moved it onto a GE cordless phone in the house (no problems there), and will be buying a second to replace the cell phone one for the car. Overall pleased.

2 out of 5 stars Beware of terrible mute button   August 4, 2007

I had only read a few of the reviews here (shame on me!), so I didn't realize that this headset's mute button has to be held down constantly for mute. That basically makes the mute button useless.

In addition, the sound quality was not particularly good. The other person could not hear me very well. I could hear them about average.

On the plus side, the folding parts "click" open (unlike some others I've had) so the headset doesn't crumple as soon as you take it off. Also the headset is reasonably comfortable. But it doesn't fold up very small.

5 out of 5 stars A pleasure to hear you!   September 7, 2007

The KX-TCA92 is a great headset for the price. We are headset people and really put these thing to good use. This baby does the job of the higher priced models in the $119 range such as volume controls and mute. I love the way the set folds up for storage in a drawer. Its light on the head yet tough on wear and comfortable on the ear. The mic extension fits near the mouth and everyone can hear me very well. A+

5 out of 5 stars Perfect headset for working professional.   January 20, 2008

I work from home and spend a lot of time on the phone and computer. It is a requirement to have both of my hands free to type and talk on the phone at the same time. I particulary like this headset because the boom extends closer to my mouth, more than other brands so I don't have to talk as loud. Very important when you have sleeping kids, or you don't want your neighbors to hear you speak when in the backyard talking to a client. I also like the mute button which is readly accessable for when the kids barge in the computer room, dog starts barking, whatever, when talking with a client. The only draw back is that the headset only last about 1 1/2 to two years (I'm on my third one). But I'm using it 40 hrs a week and for the price and quality, you can't beat it. No one has ever said I sounded like I was talking in a tunnel, so the sound quality is equally as good. No I don't work for Panasonic, I just like this product.

2 out of 5 stars barely works - low audio quality   June 15, 2006

callers can barely hear me, even with the mic right in my mouth (volume adjustment on cord doesnt affect it).
and even worse, callers hear an echo of themselves, the mic picks up the caller in the earpiece enough to resend it! (echo!). Must be because its all on the same arm or something crappy. This makes it basically unusable, so waste of money, throw away, going to buy a better one.
