Very nice headset: Would give it 4.5 stars if I could November 2, 2007 S. M. Struhl (Wilmette, IL United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Sound quality is clear--no complaints about low volume, and the set is mostly comfortable, if not the lightest weight one I've ever owned. Of course, all the lighter ones eventually disintegrated, and this looks and feels very sturdy, but is not cumbersome. I've used this on nearly interminable conference calls and it has remained comfortable throughout. I needed to bend the pickup quite a bit to get it where I wanted it, but it did indeed flex into the best position and has held its shape. It does sometimes slip back on the head, leading to mis-positioning of the pickup, which is about the only minor complaint I have about it.
A rare disappointment with Panasonic January 2, 2008 Nick from Shelburne VT 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Over the years I have been very pleased with the quality of Panasonic products and have come to rank them very highly. This headset, unfortunately, breaks that streak. It's deficiencies sink it to the level of most such headsets that are on the market today. Unlike another unit that I have, by another manufacturer, which works very well, the sound output from the Panasonic earpiece is low... even with the volume control turned all the way up. More annoying is that the microphone 'boom' is not flexible and cannot be brought close to the mouth... and thus I have to speak far louder than I normally like in order for the other party to hear me well.
Panasonic KX-TCA92 Comfort Fit Hands-Free Headset February 18, 2008 G. Ewing (Lenox, Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nice product, works well, BUT you have to hold the mute button down to make it work. If you let up on the button - you are off mute. This makes the mute inconvenient to use, should have been a switch so I could leave it on mute, and then switch it off of mute when I wanted to talk.
Good sound, quiet microphone, bad mute button July 8, 2008 Adam Smith (San Francisco, CA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've used this headset for a couple of years and it has some great features - it is comfortable to wear for extended periods, it's reversible so you can use it on either ear and the listening sound is good. However, I have had some comments that the microphone is a little quiet - it doesn't cause major issues, but if you work in a noisy environment, that could be a significant factor. My biggest issue with the headset is the mute button. Unlike other headsets which have an on/off switch for the mute function, this headset requires you to continue to press the mute button. So, when I am in a long teleconference and am trying to multitask, I end up having to find some way to hold the mute down so others cannot hear my typing, etc. Holding it in my teeth has proved the most effective but is clearly sub-optimal!
Good luck so far, and I'm a quiet talker January 22, 2004 Jeremy Kane (Glen Allen, VA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've not had any problem with people hearing me yet, and I am quite used to having people tell me they can't hear me when I talk on regular phones. I've also had bad luck with other headsets, with people telling me that I'm speaking even quieter than normal. My only complaint so far is that the volume on the earpiece doesn't go very loud, but i suspect that is a function of my phone, not the headset. To make it louder, it would have to have a built in amplifier, and that would add to the cost. Overall, I'm pleased with this.
