It's Just A Toner Cartridge January 21, 2007 Cap'n Stoob (USA) 7 out of 17 found this review helpful
A toner cartridge is just a piece of plastic filled with polyester powder, so you can't expect this thing to cure cancer, do your dishes or get your kids to take an interest in the magical world of reading books but you CAN exepct it to be deposited on the page by electrostatic action and then heat-fused to produce dots of varying shade of gray. It does this well. But you can't use the toner as a pepper substitute and you can't use the cartridge in place of a secret ninja scroll filled with techniques for focusing the ki that has been passed down from 1000 years ago. So don't expect too much beyond making prints and you won't be disappointed.
1 Good, 1 BAD--used up! April 17, 2007 Paul Robinson 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
The first one of these that I bought from Amazon lasted 1 1/2 years! Try doing that with any inkjet printer! Today I installed the 2nd one I purchased and discovered, to my dismay, that it did NOT have the hard plastic protective shield (the directions say to remove that before installing). Then when I tried printing with it (I did shake it beforehand following the manual), it reported TONER END OF LIFE! Not good, not good at all. After shaking it several more times, I managed to eek out about 10 pages, with TONER LOW as the constant message-- then it ended up reporting again TONER END OF LIFE! So, even though this came in a sealed package, with a foil seal around the toner cartridge, it was clearly a SPENT cartride. In other words, what was supposed to a be a new toner cartridge was USED up already! Very bad, Amazon! So 5 stars for the 1st, 1 star for the 2nd, 3 stars average! Fortunately, customer service refunded my money. There is a cool immediate call back service which works like a charm. Yes, I'm a sucker, glutton for punishment as I ordered another one here. Just wait until that comes. If it, too, is a USED up cartridge, I'll post another review with 1 star and never buy cartridges for any laser printer here again. Of course, that's the irrational customer in me speaking-- I guess instead of withholding my business from Amazon, I should contact Brother. In fact, that's what I'll do next! Caveat emptor in the meantime folks!
good item, will last you a while November 14, 2007 musicdef13 (Newport Beach, CA, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
It's good toner that will last you a while. I just want to reiterate a tip someone else wrote in though. If you cover the holes on the side with electrical tape, you can 'trick' the printer into printing the rest of the toner that's left in the cartridge. Have you noticed when the printer says low on ink, the last page it printed out was still perfectly printed? It means you've still got toner left because the printer measures toner level by flashing a light into the holes, which is not at the bottom. I know this tip saved my butt when I was trying to print some last minute college papers as well as the difference between the store price and the price found here.
Brother TN 350 Black Toner Cartridge Works Perfectly August 10, 2006 F. Ross (Atlanta, GA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have purchased this toner cartridge several times through Amazon. I found their price to be one of the best along with their service, delivery time and communications to be exceptional. Initally I would not think of Amazon as a resource for this product, but I am glad I found them and will stick with them.
