Very good cordless phone July 2, 2007 K. Tung (Houston, Texas USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this cordless phone set to replace another Panasonic 5.8 Ghz cordless phone. I need more than two handsets but my old one was not expandable. the order was placed with Amazon. The KX-TG1033S is a very nice phone. the voice is very clear, handsets are light in weight, good ergonomics with big buttons and the base station is small in footprint; expandable to a total of six handsets is also very nice. It is not water-resistant, though I am not sure if water-resistant is that important for a phone. The use of rechargeable AAA size battery instead of proprietary battery is a major improvement. The menu system is more complex and less friendly than my older phone, therefore I rated it as a 4 star product. speaker volume is a little lower, but handset volume is much better than my older phone. The phone was shipped by Beach Camera. The ordering process through Amazon is very simple and smooth. Beach camera did keep me updated on order confirmation and product shipping. Product came in exactly a week after I placed my order. Overall a nice experience. Price is fair. I highly recommends this product and buying it from Amazon.
Clear reception July 28, 2007 the feral human 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Not as good of range as some less expensive phones I've owned but rates 5 stars for features and clear reception. You can presceen calls from any of the handsets, if the caller leaves a message. The intercom feature is nice for larger homes. If you plan on taking the phone very far outside your house(35ft.+) you may have reception problems.
Great phone July 24, 2007 C. DeMoranville (MA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Excellent reception and features. Our previous Panasonic had a slightly different menu, and the caller ID missed calls showed immediately by scrolling. On this phone you press menu twice and after a brief pause the caller ID memory begins, that's the only thing that isn't excellent. We love the price for a 3 phone system, and only have to have the phone jack on the main phone, the others work just by plugging into the electrical outlet. It's great we can have a phone down in the basement without any special wiring. Great phone!
Panasonci quality September 17, 2007 Richard L. Peterson (El Paso, Texas) 8 out of 31 found this review helpful
This phone is poor quality! I finally returned it to the seller for a refund. Electronics Expo is a great company, took care of my concern quickly and efficiently.
Hard to review caller ID November 30, 2007 Wayne Strausbaugh 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
In general, a good phone with very good range. Routinely, 75 to 80 feet from the base station on my boat to the handset in the house (and thru a brick wall). And I like the way that you can program all handsets from one handset. But why aren't the "talk/off" buttons green and red like a cell phone? I have to look to answer the phone with the right button and likewise to hang up. Hanging up should not require a detailed review of buttons. And the caller ID has time on the top line vice the caller's name. It should be more like my V-tech with caller's name first and in oversized letters. Plus, I am still confused about how to access caller ID and review it. It's easy but not intuitive. And erasing caller ID's takes 3 or 4 button pushes per ID. When I review incoming calls, I look for my V-tech - I guess that says it all. I would not buy this phone again - the caller ID function is annoying...
