everything on this phone is great. size is perfect, battery life is very long. speaker phones are loud and clear. only problem is that i use broadband phone service and only 2 of the phones can conversate together simutaneously at one time.
Great phone for the price! July 13, 2008 Selena Y. Wilson We bought this for our 3 level town home. So far we have been pleased with the performance of it!
Highly Disappointed July 14, 2008 Larry D. McCloud (Sevierville, TN) After reading other reviews on this phone I decided to buy. I wish I hadn't. You can be standing next to the base (less than two Feet) and the phone won't work and displays a message that I'm to for away. Sometimes you'll be in the middle of a conversation and phone disconnects. I have had much success with previous Panasonic phones but they can have these back!!!!!
Great phone! July 16, 2008 J. Lewis Very pleased with phone, look forward to answering calls (!). Voice quality is very good, crystal clear (and we have Wi-Fi routers, receivers, wireless mice and keyboards, and cell phones galore around our phone base station). No problem with volume (people who have problems with volume probably haven't adjusted the volume properly as the highest setting can be too loud-and I'm getting hard of hearing!). Good range everywhere in our 2-story house and 100 to 150 feet out into the yard (brick and several layers of sheet rock do limit the range outside in one direction). We owned a previous Panasonic 2.4 GHz phone set in which the handsets were smallish, heavy, weren't very loud. The KX-TG1033S is a dream by comparison. Relatively light, love the larger keys, no problem using one-handed. The handset speakerphone works very well, too. Does not overamplify other room noises, e.g., getting ice, as previous Panasonic did. No "cutting out" as conversation switches between caller and you with either speakerphone or handset. Just wished the keypad lit when needed or the answering machine could be set to beep but those are very minor omissions. The quality of the recorded message is very good but not quite as good as I expected from the Consumer Reports review ("excellent") -still sounds a little digital to me but a vast improvement over our previous Panasonic phone. The ability to use relatively standard rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries sealed the deal for me. Highly recommend.
Update Answering Machine & Cordless phones July 17, 2008 yard man (nsb fl) After several years and minor problem with old answering machine it was time to update. The KX-TG1033 (3 handsets & answering)fits my needs. One handset at the Answering machine, one in kitchen, and one in garage to take outside if needed. Set-up was outstanding with no problems. Range from base no problem on large wooded lot. I really like the time/date, battery level indicator, & range indicator full time on display screen.
