Only complaint so far is their "Help" departments. Their worthless. You kinda have to figure things out yourself.
Great Printer February 15, 2008 Daniel H. Michaud 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I must say that reading some of the reviews I almost didn't purchase this printer. It seemed that most of the trouble was with the software/drivers and I checked and found through HP's wed site updated software. When the package came I was determined not to install the software that came with the printer but to install from the download. I downloaded the file to a flash drive and installed it on 3 other computers in the house and set them all up wireless no trouble at all. I have printed envelopes/pictures and of course regular bond paper. The pictures are unreal but I suppose you can get better ones with a product that is dedicated to just pictures "Not Sure". Overall this is a great All-In-One and would recommend it. I would have given it a 5 except the software could have been designed a little better but that's just my view.
expensive ink, buggy software, questionable tactics, poor support June 19, 2008 Ron Anderson (Alma, AR United States) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
VERY buggy drivers. VERY expensive yet low-yield ink cartridges. Misleading marketing tactics (photo value pack does not state how much ink is in each cartridge, yet they have less ink than normal). Very poor support. Don't take my word for it. Search around the net. People are literally selling their HP all-in-ones because of the higher than expected usage and cost of the ink.
The worst HP I've ever used September 27, 2008 D. Patterson (Northfield, MN United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This printer has all the nice functions one would expect in a printer of this type. However, that is all I can say from a positive perspective. Our first unit arrived nearly a year ago. It kept freezing up spontaneously, mid-fax, mid-copy, middle of the night, anytime. After six months, it was becoming unbearable, so after MUCH tech support phone time, HP finally replaced it with a REFURBISHED model. What a mistake! This one, the ink levels don't work at all, the paper jams contantly, the fax outgoing function freezes all the time, I could go on and on. After 11 months, unending hours of tech support, and endless frustrations, I'm on Amazon looking for a better model. Don't buy this printer, you can do better. We also have a 3200 model (no fax), and it is a pleasure. Keep shopping.
Flawless wireless printing October 20, 2007 Michael Watkins (Knoxville, TN USA) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This printer makes wireless printing simple for the home user. The wireless setup is easy; you just need your SSID and key (if you're using WPA, which you should be). The paper-handling and print quality is up to HP's usual high standards. I haven't tried the fax function yet, but scanning and copying are also simple and of good quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a quality all-in-one with wireless capability.
