I purchased this phone because I had a problem, when I would use 5.8GHz wireless phone it would knock all computers off the wireless internet for our home. Now we can talk on the phone and use wireless at the same time. This is especially important for me since I utilize vonage for my home phone line. the only negative would be the user interface for the answer system and caller ID. It is not intuitive and requires way to many steps. However, after a couple of days I have decided I can live with it because the sound quality is excellent.

Everything about these phones - range, clarity, non-interference with Wi-Fi - is great except one. The menus could have been simplified. Non-intuitive, I think would be a good description. Of course, I already knew that from the other reviews before I ordered. Would I buy the same phones again now that I have experienced them? Sure! It only takes a while to learn the menus and the phones work very well.

Had it about three weeks and completely satisfied with this system. Had a 2.9 Ghz phone system that was cutting out on me (wasn't aware of the interference issues until it showed up on mine after over a year of very good service). These phones have very nice voice quality (including the speaker phone), very LONG battery life, excellent range (I used one over 150 feet away from the base unit), decent caller ID visibility, large phone book capacity, pretty good answering machine quality/capabilities and NO interference issues. About the only thing I might have asked for that it doesn't have would be a few more built-in ringer options. Nothing wrong with the two it comes with, but that's really about the only thing I could recommend to improve it. Some folks may find the handset's many "Menu's" a bit complex, but I found them pretty easy to navigate and really excellent as far as controlling the features of both the handset and answering machine. Excellent job by Panasonic on this product!!!

1 star for usability, just doesn't perform 4 stars for features I bought this phone because I work from home and need the speakerphone and mute capability. I love the phone for these features. Speaker worked well and the phone was very easy to use. But... After using for about 2 wks, I noticed that I was having a hard time hearing people. They could hear me fine but it would fade on my side. It was extremely annoying!!! Then I started getting complaints that I sounded as if I was in tunnel or that I sounded like a bad Charlie Brown episode. It didn't matter if I was on the headset or speaker. Even switched headsets and still the same result. Both of these negatives were sporadic. I was only maybe 10 feet or less from the docking station at any time. I exchanged the phone thinking it might just be a defect in manufacturing. But the second one started with the audio fade too. I couldn't take the chance of the 'Charlie Brown' talk occurring so I returned it again. I have not spoken with Panasonic on my issues but did read one of the other reviewers that encountered the audio fade (design of DECT to reduce echo). I can't express how annoying this is. Just not acceptable for my use. I am very disappointed in this phone. It really would have been the perfect phone for me if the darn thing would have just worked.

I was delighted with this system at first, until the answering machine on the base unit starting blinking and quit working. Now my phone rings just 4 times in my home, and the answering machine does not pick up. To the caller it sounds like it just rings forever. I can't put a new answering machine in because the old one does something after 4 rings. I can't send the base unit in for repairs because none of the other phones will work while it is gone. I am currently spending time trying to find out what to do. We really like the phones other than this problem. The intercom system is great, sound is good, and speaker phones work well. The menu is a bit cumbersome but it works.
