Searching for the perfect phone. May 7, 2003 Em (Ravena, New York United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased this phone 2 months ago. I like the simplicity of changing the hour and time and accessing/deleting messages. However, Motorola needs to improve the quality of the volume. It's difficult to hear the other party and I can never find the right spot for the headset to feel comfortable on my ear. I do like the rubber grips and the caller I.D. function. It's fine for now, but the search is on for the perfect phone.
I saw this phone on Days of Our Lives, so it must be good. July 8, 2003 Luminus (Brooklyn, NY United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was a little disappointed that this phone didn't come with a speaker, but that's a minor problem I blame myself for. In any case, the sound is great and the button lights come in handy during th A.M. hours. Also, I think I figured out what the light on the top of the phone is for: battery life. I have only two minor issues with this phone: 1. The volume is very limited. 2. The caller ID has a tendency to malfunction at times. There were several instances where someone called and an error message came up.

this phone looks cool, I'll give it that. I also like the rubber siding which gives it a great feel in your hand. BUT the sound is not good. It is kinda soft when listening to the other person, and it really amplifies your own voice (and ambient noise) and pipes it to your ear which is annoying. And this phone, like some others, for some crazy reason, gives out a loud beep (heard by you and the other person) whenever you switch the volume during a call. WHY????? Then the other person says 'what the hell was that?' and you have to explain. But that is a small detail, basically the sound is bad and therefore I am returning it without even trying the answering machine.

This is the fourth cordless phone I've tried since the one I had died. This was the best of the four but still is not a winner. The really only good part is the rubber grip on the side of the handset so its easy to hold on to. The voice fades while your talking to someone and its hard to find just the right spot to put your ear so you can hear well.
Best phone I've ever used so far December 13, 2003 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you need a phone that doesn't beep at you while you're talking, this is the one. Its got the longest battery life! I hate to use the other cordless phones around the house now after I got this one. I always forget to recharge my phones so when I use them the batteries go dead in the middle of an important conversation. But I have never run out on this one. And when I remember to recharge, it loads it up for another tireless round of talking. I've had this phone for almost 6 months now, and the batteries are still in good shape. Other phones I've had would have good batteries in the beginning, but start diminishing in capacity within 6 months despite leaving it on the charger for days at a time. In addition the to batteries, its great to have a nice, sleek, modern design that looks good when there is company. A real plus is the lighted keypad for finding the phone in the dark. Its just a great phone with all the works - caller id, and answering machine - at this price! The only bad thing I noticed is that the volume is kinda low, even on the highest setting. Its not so great if you are talking with the TV on or have other noise in the background.
