Great System!! May 25, 2007 bugsyjjg (North Carolina) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I needed a new phone system (old one died)and did a lot of checking around.I wanted to get something that was easy to use, wouldn't break down in three Months and had good sound. I also needed three phones unlike my old system only two phones.(guess we we all need three or more these days) I have found that this system gives ALL that I was looking for and more. Also at a great price!I think you can also add up to five phones. Would for sure look into this phone system.
Fantastic Phone July 14, 2007 William McClelland (Tulsa, OK USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
After recently reading numerous magazine reviews and articles about the new features in cordless phones, I decided to try KX-TG6053S. I was most interested in the "Talking Caller ID" feature. I find the feature WONDERFUL!! The "Talking" is clear, precise and in some cases just "down right FUNNY. I had another Panasonic that lacked some of the features offered by the KX-TG6053, such as Phone company offered VoiceMail notification. In a word A VERY GOOD BUY!!!
Does exactly what I wanted August 23, 2007 Pat J. Dooley (NE Ohio) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We moved into a new place and found we had no phone-jack in the kitchen or by my desk. Rather than string cable everywhere I bought the KX-TG6053S. Problem solved. Reception is good on every unit. The only annoying thing is the stupid voice based caller-id, but you can program that off. I use phone-company voice-mail so I haven't tried the voice-mail feature. Speaker phone works well. Recommended.
Panasonic KX-TG6053S December 6, 2007 J. Amicucci (USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've owned previous Panasonic cordless phones and have been satisfied with their performance. In my opinion, this one does not live up to the Panasonic phones I have had in the past. Pros: Clear sound, nice feel and weight of phones, multiple handsets Cons: Talking caller id has hard time pronouncing easy words, no backlight, records all hang-ups as a message (very annoying), no indicator for number of new messages (only a blinking light), does not display name and number on caller id for very long It is an ok phone, but I expect more from Panasonic then this. The most annoying feature is the recorded hang-ups. So every sales person that calls and hangs up gets recorded. "You have 16 new messages" and I have to sit through them all to find if there is a "real" message mixed in there or if they are just hang-ups. I called and emailed Panasonic support about this, but they were not able to assist and were very slow in responding. UPDATE - 12/19/2007 - recently the main base unit started making clicking noises for about 30 seconds after each phone call. And as of yesterday, I cannot use any of the 3 phones for outgoing calls. When I attempt to dial a number the phone does not dial, just keeps a dial tone, but no dialing. Receives calls just fine. I am now in a position where I have to have the phones serviced as they are under warranty, but I'll be looking to replace them with something else in the near future. It is dissapointing that Panasonic has put out a product like this.
Expandable phones don't have good reception December 23, 2007 M. C. Marsh 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
We had to return the phones because the expandable phones had terrible reception. They would crackle and breakup when walking. We had to remain stationary for them to work.
