I have this model of phone and needed to expand. This phone worked as expected and I am quite happy. I very much like the VTech answering machine/phones that I bought four to five years ago, and I was happy that I could expand it with the correct model phone.

I love the battery backup in each charging station and the base unit. The USB connector and software doesn't work on a mac. Navigation key is difficult to work, but clearly a great phone for the price.

This is a 5.8 GHs expandable phone in my home. It works well if you are in the same room. Go outside to the pool area and your signal will weaken and finally just drop. When I tried to get a replacement I found the phone has already been replaced by a newer model. Go for the newer models and leave the discontinued stuff on the shelves--- regardless of price.
