Very Poor Phone July 5, 2004 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Poor quality unit. That's why AT&T doesn't sell these themselves, but out-sources them instead. Half the time I have a echo in my ear of myself when I use the phone. Now it has developed a "Chripping" sound that you only hear once you have dialed the number. The person on the other end can't hear you when this happens. Solution is hang up, walk over to base unit, pick base unit up about 4 inches from desk, drop base unit on desk, re-dial the phone number. Of course these undocumented features (problems) began shortly after the warranty had expired.
FANTASTIC PHONE!!!! November 15, 2005 D. P. NEWLAND (DOVER, OHIO United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
READ THE MANUAL! I have had this phone with 3 handsets and the only drawback is I don't have the 4th! There is no caller ID bug. You just have to tap the REDIAL button until the number is displayed the way you want to dial it (7 digit, 8 digit, 10 digit, 11 digit) It cycles through all the possibilities of dialing the number for your local dialing rules. Great sound, Great reception, Great Versatility! I have 2 small boys and the speakerphone is great for them. Plus, they've dropped the phones many times and it holds up! Great Value! Buy It!
AT&T 2300 Almost Perfect July 1, 2003 kathy papathopoulos (Grapevine, TX USA) This phone along with the 2365 system has been very useful for my family. It holds 50 phone numbers in memory. The answering machine base works great, separating the adults' messages from the kids. Being able to review the last 50 calls with caller ID is nice as well. You can keep the ones you think you may call again soon or delete them whenever you're ready. The mute button, the intercoming ability, conferencing, etc. are all cool features to have. The styling and design of the handsets and base unit along with the affordable price are two of the things that drew us to this phone system. The one main drawback we've seen is that the phone is somewhat slippery or hard hard to grasp, hence we've dropped them quite a few times...more than with other phones we've owned. The sleek design, smooth contour is what we think causes this problem. Maybe a rubber-like or more tacky grip surface would help with that. Other than that, we love it.
Take your money elsewhere! February 23, 2005 Just my opinion (Wonderland) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this phone with an additional handset last week and it is of extremely poor quality so I have resumed use of my old 900 mhz VTech. This phone causes both an echo of my voice and a loss of fluid communication, which, is the reason for its use! In sum, take your money elsewhere!
Replacement handsets for AT&T May 13, 2007 I had to replace the handsets from my phone system after about three years' of use as the buttons started to stick and became difficult to push. Luckily, they were cheap to replace and I get another three years out of my same system.
