Very disappointing! October 19, 2003 Julie (New York, New York United States) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this phone/answering machine based on some of the other comments I saw here and am VERY disappointed. The static was so bad on the first call I attempted (and switching channels did not help at all) that I had to pull out and reconnect my old phone. I've tested several calls since then and at BEST there is clicking and intermittent static. My 8 year old Sony phone works far better than this product!
radio shack version not so good either December 30, 2005 TLuke (Grand Rapids, MI) I bought the Radio Shack version of this phone (same phone, different labels) and it is has a horrible popping noise every second or two. The speakerphone part works okay.
Terrible December 25, 2006 Scott B Returning. As the last reviewer said there is a clicking or popping sound every second or two. I think that this is a 2.4Ghz analog phone, not digital. Could be interference from the wireless network. Changing channels doesn't help much. Any any rate, aside from the popping, the sound is muffled. Our AT&T sounds much clearer. My advice- choose something else.
This is a dog April 3, 2007 Dr. G. (South Florida) I own two of these dogs, thanks to BellSouth/ATT. I had a set of Siemens 2-line cordless, but a power surge killed them and BellSouth/ATT replaced them with these Uniden models under warranty. The best thing about the EXI3226 is the shipping box. Everything else is junk. The range is limited to one room, so the cordless aspect is extremely limited. The best thing I can say is that the battery life is good. Other than the battery life, this phone is a dog. If this is typical of Uniden's products, I would not expect them to be around much longer.
GREAT LITTLE CORDLESS June 16, 2007 CFB I bought this phone about two years ago just because I ran across it on sale. I just recently started using it. I do not understand all the bad reviews. Some reviewers mention the answering device -- this model does NOT have an answering device, so.... There are all the options I needed. The ring is pure and adjustable, the voice clarity is good, there's no static, the range is great -- from the third floor of my house to out in the yard to the inside of my neighbor's house is fine. Plus, it's cute. The round speaker gives an old fashioned look to a modern product. I'm very pleased with it.
