I really like the HP PhotoSmart C4480 printer and it works really great for a college student and since it is fairly small it is perfect for being in a dorm room. The set up was extremely easy and fast even for a Macintosh computer. The one thing else that I needed to get for it was a USB cord because it doesn't come with one, but it comes with ink so you don't have to buy ink right off the bat and most colleges carry the ink for the printer. The paper feed tray folds right in and over the opening so if you need more space you can close it up and only open it when you need it. The speed for printing is also very nice because I forgot to print out a 5 page paper up until five minutes to get to class and it printed it in under 30 seconds while I was throwing everything else in my bag for class.

I love this printer. The only irritating thing is that if you want to print in gray-scale, you have to go into properties and change it every time. But it works great, even with Windows vista. (and nothing works with windows vista...)

I've Had this printer over a year now, and for its price this is the best printer out there. I copy pages all the time and also print all my pictures off of it from my digital camera and its great! love it!

I got this printer with my new Macbook. It's snazzy looking, but when I tried to do the initial installation it wouldn't let me insert the black printer cartridge. After 3 excruciating hours on the phone with a completely bureaucratic and incompetent tech support team in what must have been 3 different countries, they determined it was broken (I could have told them that) and that I needed to return it via mail. So I did. And now the replacement printer that they sent me is having the exact same problem, and here I am on hold once again with a horrible tech support team. I swear it isn't me that's the problem because all of my roommates have tried to figure it out too. All I wanted was a normal printer that functioned with minimal hassle, but I guess that was too much to ask. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK.

Came free with a Mac purchase so I can't complain. The HP software worked really well for once. Scanning quality is mediocre to decent. Print quality is good, but it uses ink quickly. Design and build quality is excellent.
My particular model came with a broken SD card slot (it wouldn't accept cards). After consulting with HP help people, they determined that indeed it was broken. I don't really have the time to get it replaced, so whatever.
The LCD screen is very nice. Printing is quiet and relatively fast. It's cute.
