My 11 week old Chihuahua immediately fell in love with the comfort of the pet bed. We really couldn't find her under the blanket. Unfortunately, she loved it so much, she ate it. She ate the zipper so now it won't zip. Then that allowed her access to claw her way into the pillow and take out the stuffing. This all happened in 7 days.
I think it would have been best to have the zipper on the very bottom of the bed since she doesn't flip it over. And it probably should be velcroed/hook and loop taped.

I got it a few days ago for my cat's Christmas present while it was on a Friday sale at 50% off. It is large enough for 2 of my adult cats (11 and 12 lbs.)to snuggle, so now I need to purchase another one for the one male (I have 4 cats) who wants the whole thing for himself. The other cat was not interested at all. Now I am hoping they will go back on sale soon. As for quality, it appears well made, but I have not washed it yet. The outside of mine is an attractive dark blue velvet like corduroy. For the base, an improvement would be firmer foam as it does sink quite a bit. To solve the issue I placed an old memory foam pillow underneath, but really it needs a denser foam support. Also the "lambswool" sheds a bit, hence the 4 star rating. The important thing is how well 3 of the 4 cats responded to it. This was a really great deal!
Addendum 5/5/08:
I bought another on on the Mother's Day sale. It is the same as the other except the "lambswool" has black threads in it and is not as dense as the other one. To see the difference look at the photo for the 17 inch size. I'll still keep it as my cats like it equally as well.

my dog loves this bed. we've had it for almost 2 years now & it has held up. he chewed a hole into the pocket, but it is still useful. it's pretty comfy and washes pretty well.

This is now my cat's #1 territory. His throne. I feel lucky to have gotten mine while I did, as the price now seems to be more than double of what I paid (~$16). It was worth this price, but I'm not sure that it is worth $40.

I bought two of these bed for my mini-dachsunds. The beds are attractive and well made. My dogs really enjoy them.
