Very good Griddle April 2, 2007 M. Laub (Bloomington, MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Cooks very even, no-stick works great with bacon, eggs and pancakes. Without a little oil or bacon fat, eggs stick a little bit, but not enough to be a problem right now, maybe more when it gets worn. Enough room to get 6 strips of bacon on one side, and 2-3 eggs on the other side. I can make an entire batch of pancakes on it too, but it is a little tight. It would be even better if this pan was an inch or 2 wider, but who know's, it might not fit on some stoves then. Cleanup is a breeze, as everything slides off with hot water. I would buy it again.
EXCELLENT!! So easy! August 23, 2007 P. Swope (Hot Springs, AR) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This gridle is great looking and I leave it out on my 5 burner gas stove. I use it all the time for everything I can think of. I can keep one side hotter than the other for cooking different types of foods. It responds quickly to heat increase or decrease. This is definitely a good nonstick finish. I haven't found anything that sticks to it yet. The handles make it easy to pick up and it has a pour spount that I haven't had to use yet. The handles don't stick up too high and interfere with cooking or washing. They are one reason I chose this skillet. It is very easy to clean also. I wouldn't advise using this skillet on a glass top. I had one of those and hated it for cooking everything. This is perfect for gas. The price is exceptional for the quality provided!!!
Anolon Double Burner Griddle February 17, 2008 D. Mauney 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The griddle works fairly well, however, on our flat stove top, with the pan being slightly warped, it does not evenly heat up the entire surface at the same temperature.
Fast and Flat April 5, 2008 Jennifer (California) I agree with the reviewers who detailed how lightweight, nonstick, and evenly heated this griddle is, but I have had a different experience than those who found it warped. I set it on several surfaces in my kitchen, and it laid perfectly flat every time. Perhaps there was a bad batch, or Anolon has corrected the problem. Anyway, another reason I love this griddle is for how quickly it heats. With it I need a lower heat setting than with my heavy Anolon skillet, and my pancakes cook significantly faster (I actually burned the first 2). I can whip out a stack in about 1/3 the time I did before, which makes me more likely to do more complicated recipes (like yogurt and banana pancakes-mmm) or add bacon and eggs to a meal. Add all this to the fact that I paid 1/2 the price on Amazon than what I found it for in a department store (and got free 2 day shipping with Prime), and I could not be happier with my purchase.
Recommended product July 6, 2008 Pancake Lover (Wisconsin) Product did what it is it supposed to do. I read reviews on this product from America's Test Kitchen and I had been looking for a griddle pan to make pancakes. The pan worked very well and my pancakes came out better than anything I have ever used in the past. It even worked out well on an electric burner (old oven) since the heat distribution is as good as the reviews said it was. I would highly recommend this product and the price was very good.
