Misrepresented February 24, 2006 Scott Bucholtz 3 out of 79 found this review helpful
I was very disappointed with Amazon and will likely never use again to purchase online. The product was not sold as shown on the web and useless. The picture you show has shelves and is a complete workbench. Instead, what I received was a few plastic support pieces. Upon returning, Amazon told me I would be charged shipping for returning this useless piece. I would guess I purchased over $25,000 in goods over the internet in the past two years. You have lost a good prospect for your future services and products. If you would represent your product properly, if would not have been returned. Charging me the shipping on the return was an Amazon decision that loses a customer. Bad business decision in my view. Please remove me from your email list as I have no interest in anything you may offer in the future. Scott
workbench? March 17, 2006 John G. Scharff 3 out of 65 found this review helpful
Very misleading..it is not a workbench at all. It is just the legs. you still have to buy the wood, cut it and then figure out how to put it together.. I am not happy with it
Nice workbench May 30, 2006 R. Baker (Atlanta, GA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I chose this workbench because of the plastic legs. They shouldn't rot in the damp shop of mine. I built a 8' x 3' workbench with 10 2x4x8's and 3 sheets of 1/2" mdf. I added 1 sheet of 1/4" hardboard to the top for a nice finish. If I ever need to replace the top layer, I can simply remove the piece of hardboard and replace it. I was able to build this by myself in an hour. It would be nice to have some help when constructing the middle support legs. It can get difficult to support while building it.
Sturdy & Fun to Build December 1, 2006 M. BELL (Baltimore, MD USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Unit went together in a matter of minutes. I built mine 32"x48" to get maximum use out of a single 96"x48" sheet of 5/8" heavy duty sanded plywood. Excellent size, heavy & sturdy like a rock. For my build all I needed was 1 sheet of 5/8 plywood @ $22 and 5 2x4x8' studs @ $1.88 each. Very economical way to build a permanent work structure. It comes with a shelf unit which I built seperatley to 6h' x 4w' with 10 2x4x8' studs @ 1.88 each. Excellent value.
husban's pride February 18, 2007 Mag (Lehigh Valley, PA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this for my husband. he absolutely LOVES it. Remember : you have to purchase all the lumber separately (which in our case was additional $150). Once put together, it looks and is very sturdy and nice. You determine the size of the workbench. Highly recommended.
