This works just like it should. It is lightweight, easy to use and, most of all, quiet.

I am very pleased with the grass shears. They do a great job, even in long grass as long as you don't try to do big clumps. They are very sharp. I use them around trees and plants so they don't get ruined with our spin trimmer. Perfect for sidewalks too!

The Fiskars Long Handled Swivel Grass Shears are really handy. I needed some way to trim around my home which has vinyl skirting which is easily damaged with a power trimmer. I also wanted to be able to accomplish the job from a standing position. This tool works great!

Fiskars Long Handled Swivel Grass Shears #9210 I used a similar grass shear years ago when I was renting this apartment in a home. I loved it then and was sad to have to leave it behind. I ordered the Fiskars on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday. I couldn't believe how quickly! I had to go to an appointment, but not before I opened the box and took Fisky out. Well, it was love at first sight and I immediately had to use it. I went into difficult to reach places I was unable to get to this past weekend - grass and weeds - gone! I can't wait until this weekend when I can use it for a couple of hours. It is so light and easy to use with its grip handle. I have arthritis and osteo and have no problem having only used it for 1/2 hour, but I can tell it is not uncomfortable or awkward to use. The blades are razor shop even though my husband watered the garden an hour before I arrived home and it did not bend the grass as some reviews said. I am completely happy with the product and if the blades go dull after many uses - heck I will just sharpen them.

This tool tackled the difficult job of trimming the hard-to-reach grass growing close to our wooden fence without chewing up the fence the way the electric trimmer does. I don't consider lawn maintenance an enjoyable job, but for some reason, once I got started with these things, I didn't want to stop. It was actually kind of relaxing. Maybe was the lack of noise, tangled cords, fumes, and flying debris that comes with using a gas or electric machine. While these shears may not totally take the place of an electric trimmer, they're good for a quick clean up and for the areas the electric trimmer can't reach without causing damage.
