5 out of 5 stars Surprise   May 28, 2008

I thought this was an indulgent purchase, but have used it much more than I expected. This weekend I bought about 25 plants and got them all in without a sore back using the tiller to dig the planting holes.
My property is root filled and the tiller cut through all. There was some bucking often, but nearly all the roots were severed without additional work. The kickstand didn't come.

5 out of 5 stars Better than a new set of false teeth!   May 29, 2008

The 120 volt Electric Mantis Tiller I purchased did the job it was designed to do very well. It is light weight, compact, doesn't smell, is very quite and if my ex-wife had those attributes... Well, it's a great little tiller. Spend the money. It's well worth it.

5 out of 5 stars easy and fast   June 8, 2008

This is undoubltably one of the best purchases I have ever made. This product not only met but far exceeded my expectation. I thought that this electric tiller would strain in my soil but it cut through the baked clay and roots like a hot knife through butter. If anyone has any doubts about this product put them aside. It is worth evry penny I paid in the saving of back breaking labor and strain on your back. The only thing that has me a little ponderous about the product is the three speeds I did not seem to notice any difference in the speed. Buy it, you'll love it and I am a very critical shopper.

5 out of 5 stars Great little tiller   April 25, 2008

I love this tiller. It is easy to use, fairly lightweight and quite powerful. I have a 20' x 30' garden and I had the whole thing tilled and ready for planting in an hour. Much better than the Sears tiller I use to have!

4 out of 5 stars Worked great until it broke   May 15, 2008

It worked great until it broke. Easy to use electric tiller; quiet, powerful, relatively easy to handel. When tilling soil with a lot of roots it will stop itself and the GFI will pop. Clear the tines, push in the reset button and off you go. Well, after about 20 hours or so of use the tines stopped again in roots and the switch popped. I cleared the tines, pushed in the button and nothing but a "click" when I tried to start it again. The story is not over, as I called the service line. I was given three possible local repair shops. The first didn't service the electric model. The second was out of business, and the third, which is about 8 miles from my home, said "no problem", just bring it in between 8 am and 5 pm, show proof of purchase date and they will fix it. So, we will see how it goes. I am hopeful because the time and effort this little marvel saved me is well worth a little time to get it fixed.
