3 out of 5 stars It looks like a Weber, but it's not the same   September 7, 2008

Obviously my title is a bit misleading. There's no doubt this grill is a Weber, but having purchased this grill to replace an almost new Weber Genesis B, the quality clearly is not as good.

I purchased the E310 as a replacement to a 2 year old Genesis B, and while the components look the same, the tolerances are much wider leading to things not quite coming together properly. Perfect example, the controls were rubbing the panel when turned because the two support arms were not correct in their angle. I was able to remove and rebend, but it's not perfect. Also, the front stainless steel doors don't align correctly because the tolerances are just too wide. Metal panels have slight ripples to them, screws not quite tightened. Things that would have been unthinkable in a Weber just a few years ago.

Anyway, this grill costs $400 from lumber yards. I would not pay more for it; the quality of construction isn't as good as the Genesis B

One last thought. I purchased locally (shipping from Amazon killed the deal) and the box was damaged, however I removed it from the box to inspect it and there was no damage. Because of the way it's packed, and the thin cardboard used, I suspect there is no way to ship this individually without it being damaged.

5 out of 5 stars What can you say? It's a Weber -- It's a classic!   June 8, 2007

I've had the Weber grill predecessor to this model, for almost 10 years now. It's weathered the elements, and even the move to a different house.
I can't even begin to estimate how many parties and get togethers have been hosted around this grill. Hundreds of pounds of fresh fish fillets, lobster tails, steaks, even burgers have been through this grill. I replaced the stock grills a couple years ago when they were exhausted, and installed stainless grills. I expect to get another 10 years, at least, from this grill. The heat distibution is even and consistent and excellently controlled. I've been through a lot of grills, both charcoal and gas, and this one is ideal. It's hard to beat!

1 out of 5 stars Good Heat But Dangerous   May 17, 2008

This maximum grille isn't bad for cooking the local hamburger or hot dogs but when it comes down to steak, some sea food or a 200 lb carcass of deer, it doesn't heat up. I used this in Finland during a cold wind and the propane tank almost blew up in my face because the connecting pipes aren't protected by motion wave emblems which prohibit them from melting or freezing. If you need something for your back yard or to take to the park, then this is fine but if hauling this on your back, forget it, it's too heavy.

5 out of 5 stars Excelent purchase and delivery on time   June 18, 2008

Very good grill, I like the fact that you have a way to mesure the propane left in your bottle. Very good heat and even all across de grill

4 out of 5 stars Good grilling machine   September 21, 2008
CoquiLostInNY (New York, NY USA)
I purchased this grill with one desire, to have a solid grilling machine at a reasonable price so the question is, did I get it?

Answer: Yes!

This unit doesn't come with many fancy feature such as a rotisserie or even feature you're use to seeing on basic grills such as a side burner but that was fine with my because I can't remember the last time I used one of those things anyway. What this grill does some with is good heat flow, easy assembly and porcelain grates. (One word about porcelain grates, they're great for grilling but harder to clean because of how easy they are to scratch!)

Overall, I'm happy with my grill and plan on using for many BBQ's to come!
