I love this thing June 27, 2005 Amy L. Sciangula (Denver, Colorado) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Just got my yard machine and ran outside to put it together. Like a few users reported, the screws used to attach the lower handles to the machine are missing. In their place, the company threw in 2 screws that are too big for the pre-drilled holes. If you look in the book, it doesn't say anything about screws but talks about push pins that should be used. Rather than send this back because of a few missing push pins, I found some screws around the house that worked great. Other than that, assembly was a piece of cake. May go down to home depot this week and actually try to find the pins they reference. They can't be more than a few $'s. My yard has 350 sq ft of sod so I had been using a weed wacker which was killing my back and my sod. The mower started on the first try and made quick progress through my yard. One writer talked about not being able to use this on really tall grass. I had not weed wacked the lawn since ordering this item because I was through killing myself and the sod. Needless to say, the grass was super high by the time I got my yard machine. I made one pass putting pressure on the handles so that the front end wasn't completely on the ground. Whenever I felt the machine start to stutter because of the tall grass, I just pulled it up a bit higher. Never stalled once. Went back over the grass after I had it to a sensible height and all was good. Had to empty the bag 4x but I attribute that to the height of my grass. All in all, I love this little thing. My husand was laughing at me the entire time saying my new friend looked like a toy. Don't care because it is light and gets the job done. He stopped laughing when he saw how nice the lawn looked in record breaking time.
Slow and weak July 11, 2005 Noke 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This mower is useless if you have more that 3 inches of grass. It keeps staling. The engine is just too weak. It will work only if you put it to highest position but then it barely touches the grass. It is good only for extremely small yards.
electric lawn mower September 30, 2005 James B. Morrow 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
You basically get what you pay for. This is a no frills electric lawnmower suitable only for small areas. The height adjustment is primitive but it works. The lawnmower gives a nice smooth cut.
Electric Mower August 10, 2005 James R. Attebery (Yardley, PA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Very prompt delivery. Mower was very easy to assemble and immediately use. Everything fit together easily. Does a great job of cutting my small yard. Is very quiet and easy to manuever. The grass catcher is easy to remove and dump. I am very pleased with the purchase and quality of the mower. Also bought the bag cover and it is good quality as well. Jim Attebery Yardley, PA
Great for Fitness Equipment May 14, 2006 Darin (Arizona) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I found this mower to be useless. I couldn't mow more than 1 foot without the blade stopping and I have a really small yard. And unless you have the perfect tools, adjusting the blade is extremely difficult. I guess there is a reason why they don't have this model on stock at the nearest Home Improvement stores. I returned it. The only good thing is that I got a good cardio workout. It is actually lightweight to move on level surfaces, but on the grass (8' X 8') it took me an hour and 1/2 to mow the yard. And now my yard looks really patchy, like allopecia, because I had to use the weed eater to help.
