5 out of 5 stars THE BEST !   February 10, 2008

I love it! Great tool, right up there with duct tape and bungie cords. My only regret is that the handle isn't longer- being 5'10" tall I have to slump over a bit to use it. Otherwise super- cut my shoveling time down to about 1/3 from what it was with a regular snow shovel.

5 out of 5 stars Time saver, back saver!   January 15, 2008

You're probably reading this review because, just like me several weeks ago, you are relucant to spend about $50 on a snow shovel, of all things! I decided to take the plunge and splurge a little here.

This thing rocks! No back-breaking lifting required. No soreness. It takes me less than 5 minutes to clear my one-car driveway. It's actually kind of fun to use this. The only thing I'm not sure about is how it would handle hardened snow. I've only used it on fresh, fluffy snow. But then again, there shouldn't be reason to wait till it hardens anyway, so this is probably a moot point.

If you can afford this, and you're sick of lifting your little shovel and taking 15+ minutes to clear a driveway, go ahead and buy this.

5 out of 5 stars Love Love Love this shovel !!!   January 24, 2008

I LOVE this shovel. I have a long (100 ft) driveway and do NOT want a snowblower for maintenance, storage space, and environmental reasons. I also like the exercise of shoveling. I guess its my winter sport! However I almost broke down this year and got a snowblower when we got almost record-breaking snowfall in December (33 inches). Then I asked my neighbors if I could borrow their funny looking shovel. It was a push shovel. I immediately fell in love with it ... it is easy to push snow a short distance if necessary (which I need to do because of lack of places to put snow). I push snow into a big pile then use my regular shovel to shovel off to side. This push shovel is great for light snows as well as heavy snows. It has a folded steel edge which is very rugged and durable. Shovel itself made out of heavy duty plastic (not like some wimpy plastic shovels). Using it saves on back strain. Someone described it as half tobagan, half front-end loader which is a great description! My neighbors said they bought theirs in a Fleet Farm store in another city. I could not find this shovel in any stores so went online to look. Found it on Amazon! It was even the same brand as my neighbors!

5 out of 5 stars Big Gry Scoop/Float   January 18, 2007

I think this is one of the best oversized shovels you can get. It helps you you catch a lot of snow you would have missed with a smaller shovel. I like the SMS Snowscoop from AM Leonard & the Big Gray Scoop from Suncast for moving lots of snow. Shipping for both was inexpensive.

Nice unit, light weight and sturdy The only drawback is It would be nice if it was bigger then I could save even more time.
