A nice grill brush - but ... June 15, 2004 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Weber 1647 18" grill brush is certainly a nice looking grill brush, and performs quite well for awhile. (bought in March'04; this is June '04. Today, I was cleaning my Weber Q, and noticed brass bristles all over the grill where they had come out of the brush. Needless to say, I didn't want brass bristles in my food, so the next half-hour was spent cleaning up from the brush. Weber should have attached the bristles better to the handle head. There was also a problem with the bristles really being too short to clean the cast iron grates.
Just a brush with a nice handle and the Weber logo. December 30, 2004 T. Mckee (Southborough, MA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
After buying my first Weber, I was so impressed with both the build quality of the grill and customer service, I was an instant 'Weber fanboy' and so I bought the stainless 3 piece toolset (now thats built tough!) and the Weber grill brush. After past experience with cheaper brass brushes ($1-$2) flattening in no time I expected (one reviewer here claimed it to be so anyway) this would be different. It's not different, just a bigger handle. It would seem brass is brass, and whatever you have experienced in the past for any brass brush applies to this one as well. Seems such a waste to discard just because the bristles go flat.. I might try a very similiar model (not Weber) that has a re placeable head, although the price difference seems meager.
Brush okay, scraper useless January 2, 2005 T. Weis (Dover, DE USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This brush works fine but the scraper element on the tip is too small to fit over the bars on my weber grill. So the only way to clean the grill is to brush and brush and brush whereas just one scrape with a fitted scraper would do a much better job. At least it cleans up easily - just rinse with warm soapy water.
Great product January 12, 2005 Vince-RA (North Carolina, United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Amazon's price is better than I could find in the local Mega-lo-marts, FWIW. Nothing fancy here -- just does one job and does it well. The "scraper" portion fits perfectly on my Weber cooking grate(Charcoal -- I understand the Gas grates are larger). The brush also works very well, and the long handle helps keep your hands from become barbeque (I like to heat up the grate then brush it one last time before cooking).
Not bad April 12, 2007 Morgan Chiu (Rockville, Md USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wish it has a angled handle. Now the front part of the brush is totally flattened.
