Fantastic Grill July 24, 2006 ninjasuperstar (Iowa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have lived in three different places over the last five years, and none have allowed residents to grill. Now that I live in a sane place where grilling is welcome, I decided to buy my first grill. I chose this, the most expensive of Weber's charcoal grills, and I am glad I did. Everything about the grill is perfect -- size, ash catcher, durable structure, cooking times, and it is VERY easy to assemble (all that is required is a hammer). I also purchased Weber's three-piece grill tools (spatula, tongs, and prong fork) as well as the grill brush and chimney starter. I could not be happier. And you will be, too.
THERE IS NO COMPARRISON! September 8, 2006 Pete (North America) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Once you use a charcoal BBQ you will never want to go back to gas grillng again. Gas grilling cannot compare with the taste of chicken, beef, pork, or other meats when they are cooked with chacoal. Charcoal barbecuing takes a little longer (you have to give the coals a while to heat up) but the wait is totally worth it. People like gas because it is more efficient, less messy, an much quicker. It is true that charcoal babecuing does not offer these advanages. But the taste of charcoal barbecuing makes it all worth it. Anything grilled on one of these will taste much, much better than if done on a gas grill. Try it once an you will never want to use gas again.
Grilling great food September 18, 2006 Mark E. Snyder (Akron, OH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just purchased the Weber One Touch Gold. Used to have a gas grill but really missed the flavor and primal nature of charcoal cooking. Just had my first cookout last night. What a great grill. Was used to my dad's old hibachi's which made grilling a chore. The weber was great and everyone really liked my mini-man burgers [see Alton Browns site on Food Network] and commented how they could taste the difference between charcoal and gas. Very happy with purchase. Make sure to get the charcoal chimney, makes lighting charcoal very very easy!
Don't know why I waited so long March 8, 2007 W. Hermans (Middleburg, Fl USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased my Weber grill back in January. Have used it every week-end since. I bought the charcoal chimney for starting the coals. It works GREAT!!! No messy smelly charcoal starter fluid and the coals are ready in about half the time. Grill was easy to assemble. Ash catcher makes it easy to clean kettle. I've always wanted a Weber grill. I don't know why I waited so long.
A Great Charcoal Grill March 8, 2007 thepit47 (NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What more can I say. If you are into traditional charcoal grilling, this is the grill to get. It has adjustments on top and bottom to regulate the heat. Plus, you can buy accessories, like a side tray, warming trays, grates for indirect cooking, etc making this very versatile. If you have a little more time to grill on the weekend, light the coals, not the propane! I've had this grill for 4 years and there is not a bit of rust on it. Highly recommended!
