Its amazing the amount of heat this puts out. My cooking times have almost halved. It gets so hot - if you have a full grills worth of food you have to take a break between turning all the food over - your hand gets soooo hot.
Once you get over the fact that you have spent $1700 on a grill its easy to enjoy it.
It came almost fully assembled. Minor ding on the door - have not called webber yet - not sure I will. Very easy to put together the rest. Took about 30 mins.
This is a big grill. I dont think there is a need for the bulk except for the rotisserie feature which I have not yet used.
The lights are actually quite useful and usable. I like them.
Burns through the gas tank much faster than my old little webber - so I keep a spare just in case.
Not sure its a good use of money - but I am not sure you could getter a better grill.

We ordered the grill via Amazon in June. Information indicated it was in stock. After a few days, we were informed by Etronics that the grill was NOT in stock and would not be available for 10-14 business days (That's really 2-3 weeks.) We were again informed after 6 days again that the timing would be 10-14 business days. In the meantime, the transaction was posted on our credit card on June 28th (over $1750). The item was not shipped until July 20 and we received it July 26. Hence the credit card was charged more than 3 weeks before it should have been. The grill covered, also ordered, came right away. Had the grill been cancelled by us or Etronics, we'd have been stuck with a grill cover. Etronics tells me that this is Amazon's charging policy. I don't know if this is true or not, it certainly isn't with ordering books and CDs/DVDs. I am pleased with the grill, but we could have had a credit card mess on our hands. If this is Amazon's policy, it ought to change.

The material/built of this grill is fantastic. The design is beautiful. I've been saving up to get this grill and I finally made the purchase and the grilling has been superior. The only blemish is the stainless steel grills and the lid/cover turn brown with the high heat.

Never owned a gas grill before so I have nothing to compare this to, other than my beat up old charcoal grill. First things first...it arrived in perfect condition...no dents in the doors...no scratches. This thing is built like a tank. Nothing wobbles, shakes, or squeeks. Good solid construction. The hood seems like it could widthstand a mortar shell.
Everything works as advertised. Little if any discernable difference in taste between gas and charcoal. Could it be that those flavorizor bars are more than just a marketing gimmick? Time will tell. Due to my lack of experience with gas, the feature set on this grill far exceeds my ability to take advantage of it. But it will be a fun learning experience. That's all for now.

This BBQ is awesome. I've owned it for 3 months, and use it at least once a week. I've cooked for 26 people on it, and I've cooked for two of us. I'm a fair cook, but this grill makes me look like an expert. The "flavorizer bars" sound like the worst type of hyped crap, but they absolutely prevent me from burning my food. Seriously, I haven't burned anything on this grill yet! Granted, they may not add any flavor, but I still think they are great.
As for heating ability, let me just say that it's 18 degrees outside (northern Utah) and I'm BBQ'ing. I couldn't do this on my old BBQ!
I haven't noticed any darkening of the SS, but I won't be surprised if it happens. Had this been available in something other than stainless, I would have bought it.
I've never owned a solid stainless grate before, and was a little wary, but it's worked out great.
I would seriously recommend this for anyone who wants to spend this kind of money on a BBQ.
