Best Vegetable Peeler December 22, 2004 R. PROKOPY (Michigan, USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is probably the best peeler I've ever used. Far better than the cheap peelers you'd get at the grocery store. The peeler is cast out of zinc and has a soft, rubberized coating on the grip. It is nicely weighted and shaped perfectly. The blade is also wickedly sharp; on par with a high-quality kitchen knife. I used it to peel some carrots and potatoes for a stew and it worked much quicker and with less fuss than my old peeler. Highly recommended.
Very, very sharp August 6, 2006 Kitchen Guy (Southern California) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
The design of this peeler is excellent. It's easy to grip, and you can reverse or replace the blade. But what really counts is the blade is sharp! Razor sharp! It works so easily it doesn't feel as if you're actually cutting. It comes with a plastic shield for the blade. I suggest you keep it and use it when you store the peeler to preserve that marvelous edge.
GREAT PEELER July 10, 2005 D. Young (Houston, Texas United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great peeler, I tried it on vegetable peels and fruit peels, it works fantastic, also when the blades gets dull, you can purchase refill blades (comes in 2 pack case). The handle works great, I have a small hand and it was very comfortable. Peeling fruits like apple or pears the skin stayed in one piece. Worth the extra money it cost, plus if you look for newer stock there is also a blade guard that comes with the peeler.
Works Like A Charm November 12, 2005 NuJoi (Chicago, IL United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the best peeler I have ever used. It feels nice and heavy in hand. Has a comfortable handle with a no-slip grip. Makes peeling lots of things at once go faster. The blade is very sharp and has lasted a long time. The eye removal too works very well too. I am now an OXO convert.
Very good peeler January 7, 2006 Sue C. Exley (SF Bay Area) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We've used OXO Good Grips peelers for several years and we've been very happy with them. We found out about the i-Series Swivel Peeler from watching America's Test Kitchen, which highly recommended the new peeler. I wasn't sure Good Grips could improve on the old model, but this one is better. Since it arrived we have reached for the i-Series Peeler every time. It is very comfortable to use. Feels very balanced and it is super sharp. The metal tip is great for removing the bad bits from potatoes. Highly recommend this peeler.
